Okay I Seen Many Different Names For This CLASSIC Album...

-2001
-Chronic 2001
- Dr. Dre 2001

What Is The Official Name?

I Always Thought It Was Just 2001 Cause Thats All It Said On The Cover And CD...

it is.....but a lot of people think that the chronic leaf on the cover means its called 'chronic 2001'.

actually the thing on top of the cd with the plastic wrap says "chronic 2001" on every single one of the cd's

I always heard Mtv called it Dr.Dre 2001...but i always call it just 2001...

Actually the official name is just "2001"...Theer is nothing that says Chronic on the whole CD, on the side of the CD, it says "Dr Dre - 2001" without the word Chronic or a Chronic Leaf, so that's the official name...Now on the top where they have the sticker that you have to pull of to open the CD saysn "Chronic 2001", but that's only because Interscope fucked up when they were typing it...So what do u belive more? The side of Dr Dre's CD, or the Sticker on top of Dr Dres CD...?

naw interscope didn't mess up if they did only the first printing of the cd would have that

the reason why on the cd it doesn't flat out say "chronic 2001" is becuase of legal issues with deathrow using it first and becuase  peopel around dre advised dre not to use chronic as it would be free advertisment for deathrow's record "chronic 200"
BUT the OFFICIAL name of it is Chronic 2001, 2001 is the subtitle as is dr. dre 2001, you're right whatever you call it....just like calling metallica's album "metallica" the black album... becuase both are the official name of it even though it only says Metallica on it

so it was suppose to be Chronic 2001 but the official name on the cd is 2001...ah whatever! shit is too confusing for my narcotic damaged brain...
