Jus' a l'il sumthin' I thought y'all would wanna peep:
When an album gets pushed back several times from its original release date, the material on the album gets a bit dated. Production duo, The Neptunes, who's album has been pushed back for several months now, realize this dilemma and are planning to re-record their album. Recording under the name N*E*R*D, Chad Hugo and Pharrell Williams will re-do the entire album using live instruments- drums, bass, guitar, and organ.
"The music and the lyrics were there but the magic wasn't," Hugo told Entertainment Weekly. "With the old album, you had to drink or smoke to get into it," Williams added. "The new album will intoxicate you."
Look for the album, In Search Of... to drop around October. Meanwhile, you can enjoy Neptunes production from all over the Hip-Hop to the likes of Tha Liks, Philly's Most Wanted, Jadakiss, Busta Rhymes, Usher and almost everyone else in the industry.
