Pac Released All Eyez On Me In February Of '96 And It Was #1 On The Billboard Charts. It Sold 556,000 Units.
The 7 Day Theory Was Released Later That Year In The Winter Of '96 Right? Cause I Remember Coppin' It The First Day It Came Out. And I'm Sure It Was #1 Since It Sold 664,000 Units. Or Was It Released In The Winter Of '97?
Okay If They Were Both Released In The Same Year And Both Reached #1. Why Is DMX Credited For Being The First Artist Ever To Have Two #1 Albums In The Same Year [It's Dark And Hell Is Hot And Flesh Of My Flesh Blood Of My Blood]? Is Billboard So Stupid That They Counted 2Pac And Makaveli As Two Different Artists?
Can Someone Please Tell Me The Actual Facts?
- Was Pac's The 7 Day Theory #1 On The Billboard Charts When It Came Out? [I'm Pretty Sure Since It Went Gold In One Week.]
- Was Pac's The 7 Day Theory Released In The Same Year As All Eyez On Me? [I'm 100% Sure It Was Or Am I Tripping?]
-
YEH MAKAVELI WAS RELEASED THE SAME YEAR AS ALL EYEZ
MONTH AFTER HIS DEATH OR SUMMIT,ILL HAVE 2 HAVE A THINK!

Yeah, they were definatly released in the same yr. Don't know what's tha deal-ay wit the whole No.1 sit though ???
-
All Eyez was released on February 13, 1996...Makaveli was released on November 5th of 1996...So yeah Pac was the first...
-
That's What I Thought!
Fuckin' Billboard And The east Coast Don't Give Props To Pac For This. FUCKIN' HATERS! Instead They Give The Honors To DMX Probably Cause He's From New York. STR8 UP BULLSHIT!
Not Only Did Pac Drop Two #1 Albums In A Year But They Were Two CLASSIC Albums. Let's See Someone Else Do That.
So Pac Is A Straight Up Trend Setter! First It Was The Double Album And Then He Drops Two Albums Within The Same Year. DMX Copied It And Jigga Too.
Pac The G.O.A.T.

November 5, 1996 - The Greatest Album Drops!

wasn't tha doggfather and the makaveli album released the same week, and tha doggfather went number 1?
-
Doggfather was suppossed to be released on that same day Nov. 5th but they pushed it back a week to the 12th...Makaveli debuted at #1 and then a week later Doggfather went to #1...
-
Pac was the first to have two #1 albums in the same year, for rap. All Eyez debuted #1 in February of 96', and Makaveli debuted #1 in Novemeber of 96'. The Doggfather came out 2 weeks after Makaveli did, I believe. Im pretty sure Makaveli went #1, then Mo Thugs Family Scriptures came out the week after and dethroned it, and then The Doggfather came out after that and dethroned Family Scriptures. I think thats how it went, though I could be wrong. I know all 3 of those albums dropped at around the same time.

^^^ I Don't Think Anyone Else Has Released Two #1 Albums In The Same Year Before Pac Did. That's For All Genres Of Music. Cause In An Article That Rolling Stone Did On DMX It Said That He Was The First Artist Ever To Have Two #1 Albums Within The Same Year. They Could Be Wrong Since They Gave X The Credit Instead Of Pac. But I'm Thinking Rolling Stone And Billboard Counted 2Pac And Makaveli As Two Different Artists. Anyways What Other Artist In Any Genre Of Music Has Released Two #1 Albums In The Same Year?
-
The doggfather came out november 12th
makaveli came out november 5th
Both debuted at #1 on the charts.
Hellrazor, when was family scriptures number 1 on the charts. I'm having trouble remembering because honestly I don't believe that a mo thugs album would push units like that.
-
i dunno we'll all see during november on billboard.com

I know it [the Mo Thugs album] DEFINATLY debuted in the top 3, cuz it ended up selling like 2 million. The first two Mo Thug albums pushed MAD units. The first one, like I said, sold 2 million, and the second one went platinum. Im pretty sure Family Scriptures went #1 at some point, but I could be wrong. All I know is that it peaked in the top 3 somewhere.
You have to remember, the first Mo Thugs album came out at a time [between 93'-2000] when EVERYTHING Bone released went at least gold, if not platinum or multi-platinum.
-
i doubt it went to number one becuase pac and snoop ruled the top of the charts during that time of november
but like i siad we'll have to wait til november to see what billboard says
-
Mo Thugs debuted at #2 the week that Makaveli came out...The next week they fell off cause Doggfather went to #1 and Makavel fell to #2...Still that Mo Thugs album sold well like 250,000 copies it's first week...
-
I remember this now. I forgot that this album [mo thugs] was sold like that. It's been a while since bone has been pushing units.
