Today I picked up the new Roots Manuva album 'Run Come Save Me' its pretty similar to his first one... theres an (american?) MC on the 3rd or 4th track that I liked.
Also.. my boys Aspects played here on thursday night.. it was weird talking to them and being there in the crowd with their parents (seeing them reminds me of when I used to go round for tea etc.. lol).
Their album 'Correct English' is picking up momentum.. they're being hailed as this summers brightest/freshest UKHH act (altho Mark B & Blade seem to be having more success).
Also a strange was that because I live in an area called 'The West Country' they had everyone in the crowd throwing Westcoast style W's up ;)
Also they had a quirkly little warm-up act called 'The Verbal Wurzels' who had me rolling... really funny.. i hope they drop something soon.
I also discovered that I know the guy behind setting up the gigs (and his warm act) through my mate who is a Jungle DJ. (the guy running the night has a lowrider.. but its not juiced up).
p.s. once ya done here .. check out a lil post i made in the diggin' section.

Yeah I know..
I was in the local Virgin Megastore at lunchtime and they were playing Roots Manuva which surprised me.. pretty sure they played some Mark B & Blade stuff before hand.
Aspects are a 5 piece outfit.. 3 MCs and 2 DJ/Producers.
That warm-up act 'The Verbal Wurzels' were a 2 man MC outfit from a small village here called Chard... so funny... I'm loving the shit thats coming from my area... its got our sense of humour in it.
They had their own DJ too.. he had a really funny name.. cant recall it tho :(
I'm trying to think of other local(ish) MCs the only one I can remember at the mo is from south wales called Junior Disprol
