Kings Sign Moore (http://www.nba.com/kings/news/kings_sign_mikki_moore.html)
SACRAMENTO, CA, Friday, July 13, 2007 --- The Sacramento Kings and forward/center Mikki Moore have agreed to terms on a contract in principle today, it was announced by Kings' President of Basketball Operations Geoff Petrie.
“We’re really excited to come to an agreement with Mikki Moore,” said Petrie. “He brings athleticism, length, skill and experience to our team and we’re looking forward to watching him play for the Kings.”
Moore, a 7-0, 225-pound, nine-year NBA veteran, enjoyed careers highs with the New Jersey Nets last season, averaging of 9.8 points (.609 FG%, .681 FT%) and 5.1 rebounds per game through 79 contests (started 55). He also averaged 14.8 points and 4.7 rebounds in six Eastern Conference semifinal playoff games versus Cleveland last season.
PG Mike Bibby...Ronnie Price/Quincy Douby
SG Kevin Martin...John Salmons/Mustafa Shakur
SF Ron Artest...Francisco Garcia
PF Mikki Moore...Kenny Thomas
C Brad Miller...Shareef Abdur-Rahim/Spencer Hawes
Not bad...They'll still have trouble making the playoffs in the west, but not bad.

Sucks for the Cavs.. now a Bibby - Gooden deal won't happen.
-
Man, even with Magloire, this hurts our chances in the division. I was really hoping Mikki would stay. Boston & NY are looking great this year ( although I'm sure the Knicks will find some sort of way to screw up what they have ). I too wouldn't mind seeing Bibby in Cleveland, once Lebron gets a real point guard, there will be no doubt that he is the best player in the L.

LOL Currently Lebron isnt even close to Kobe, Kobe is way better.

LOL.
But yea, Mikki Moore is overrated...He had a good season stat-wise, but he's an underachiever. I wouldn't be too sad seeing him leave if I was New Jersey. I'd actually take Magloire over Moore...PeACe

I'm saying, a guard like Bibby could help make him the best.

Bibby is more of a shooter than a distributor...

Bibby>>>>>Gibson/Snow combined. Would have been better for LeBron and Cleveland.

yeah if L stands for little league.

if i were to start a franchise and i could pick any player in the NBA to start with i would not choose Kobe Bryant

Ok and a guard like Steve Nash would make Kobe God. What's your point?

Where did Kobe come into this? :-X

I am from Cleveland and everyone here is bummed because we thought we were getting Bibby.

I wouldn't either. I would choose a big man with all around skills (ie: Kevin Garnett or Tim Duncan). But that doesn't mean Kobe isn't the point blank best period.

Lebron is.
-
How so? He chokes in the clutch, he can't make an outside shot, he obviously has no clue what defense is, almost all of his points come from fast break dunks, he disappears for quarters at a time (and sometimes the entire 2nd half), he's afraid of pressure, etc.
Lebron isn't even better than Wade so there's no way in hell he's better than Kobe.

hahahha. Kobe is wayyyy better than LJ, no comparison

Why you getting your feelings hurt? I didn't attack you in any way.Just answer the question.

;D My point is that Bibby would make Lebron better. This is basically the 2nd time I have possted this, the other time in your quote. Kobe is great right now, but he won't get sny better, plus he's a baby and a horrible teammate. Lebron will be better VERY soon. Another reason why I brought it up is because a Bibby to Cleveland deal has been rumored since the trade deadline and has become the main discussion of this topic ( duh ). Nash to LA or Kobe to Phoenix has not been rumored, Nash would not wanna play with someone like that. Bibby is a better teammate and so is Lebron, they could have made Cleveland THE elite team in the East.

You would start a franchise around Garnett over Kobe?

LMAO. Phillybitch is a disgrace.

Dutch Master is right. Lebron has NEVER played with a true point guard. Instead of being a finisher which he naturally is, he is the one who has had run the offense for the Cavs.
Once the Cavs get a true point guard and another shooter, look out. Lebron will own the NBA.

Correct, and LOL at Tony tryna question me about basketball, stick to the g-spot kid. Lebron is asked to do EVERYTHING for Cleveland, once he gets that PG ( a pass 1st PG, who is CAPABLE of scoring ), there is no question that he SOON will be considered the best player in the league. NIK knows this too, he's just upset that Lebron takes so much of Kobe's shine.

LOL. Eric Snow was a distributor and ran the offense without taking ANY shots, but LeBron couldn't really work well without the ball in his hands. Maybe LeBron will prove me wrong, but I highly doubt it. He hasn't even developed from 2 seasons ago.

LeBron does everything for the Cavs? Is that why Jason Kidd said it WASNT LeBron who beat them, that they contained LeBron pretty well, but were losing because of defense and rebounding....Who should we believe? Jason Kidd and NIK, or Phillybitch and C-Walker?...Hmmmm?

Snow is not a decent distributor anymore, maybe an assist a quater or something, but that'll about do it.

i like this move. we needed a shotblocker\rebounder
