Cry Now (oh my god monotone)
Kill a Mutha (turned it into a lame gangsta track)
All of My Life (this is a fuckin dope beat with an alright nate hook, obie talking about absolutely NOTHING here wasting this song)
Ghetto (obie almost pulls it off here, ALMOST)
24's (soooooooooo gay.... low lows with hoes? cmoooooon obie)
Obie Story (obie tries to sound sincere, but it doesn't work)
Can we make him re-record these tracks with some subject content?

I agree with the opening thread.
The beats were wasted on Obie Trice. He's better on those real underground soundin beats like "Dope, Jobs, Homeless" which I actually think is his only good song.
-
He ripped up both 'Cry Now' and 'Ghetto'. And also some reviews i've read have said that 'Obie Story' is possibly the best track on the album so it can't be that bad.
I thinik he is well under rated. His first album was bangin'. I couldn't stop listening to it when it first came out.

yea his 1st album was fantastic, soooo many stand-out tracks on it
I compare Obie's 2nd album (in terms of both quality & the way it's been accepted by critics) to Ice Cube's War & Peace 1 & Xzibit's WOMD...All 3 are very dark albums, especially prod. wise...I love all 3, while many call them the "downfall" of the respected artist..Granted Obie & Cube's (in my mind) are FILLED with quality tracks, it is difficult to find stand-out tracks while listening to them...but that is quite alright with me, as i will take consistentcy over 5 good tracks any day...X's is different to me in sense that it has stand-out tracks, but still compares 2 the other 2 LP's in my mind, prod. wise & the way it was received

Of course hes talented but he is choosing beats that don't fit him. that 24's track could have been an awesome track, but he turned into a rims and hoes song.
Kill a Mutha, same thing
