Title: Ja Rule & Lil Wayne Taken In On Gun Charges

Last night, only blocks from each other and an hour apart, both Ja Rule and Lil Wayne were arrested for criminal possession of a weapon.

Ja was first, being stopped on Manhattan’s Upper West Side for excessive speeding and expired tags and found with a .40-caliber Taurus in the car. Both his driver and lady-friend were arrested as well.

Only an hour later, Lil Wayne had finished up a gig and retired to his tour bus where he was ‘observed’ by police to be smoking pot. They searched the bus and found the weed and a 40-caliber pistol inside. He was charged for both.

As of TMZ reporting this incident, both rappers were awaiting arraignment.
