We all know during the NWA era, that Cube & Ren wrote the majority (if not all) of Dre's lyrics
We know that the 2001 album was written by eminem, hittman, snoop jay-z, knoc, and so on
But my question is, i never heard who wrote the majority of the chronic album?
-
Snoop, RBX and the DOC
-
Snoop, RBX and the DOC
much love...also Cube & Ren wrote ALL of n.w.a.'s shit right?
-
yeh Cube and Ren wrote most if not all the NWA shit, and probly D.O.C. too

ThaFormula.com - But in between all this you all did the "100 Miles and Runnin'" EP and you knew now that it was your time to step up. How did you feel about that?
MC Ren - When that nigga left, I knew I had to pick my shit up 'cause Dre wasn't really no rapper. He wasn't really no hell of a rapper back then and shit. He just would fill in. But when Cube left he started rapping more, but I always knew I had to pick it up. I was writing my shit, Eric's shit, Dre was helping write Eric shit, 'cause when Cube left we still had me, D.O.C. and Dre.
ThaFormula.com - So Dre actually wrote his shit?
MC Ren - Yeah, he wrote some of his shit. He write some of his shit and some of his shit he don't write. You can tell shit he writes. D.O.C. would write a lot of Dre's shit too. You could tell when you hear a lot of Dre shit if DOC wrote it.

"Dre is a performer",says Mahogany. ItŽs like a classroom in the booth. HeŽll have three writers in there, theyŽll bring something ,heŽll recite it,then heŽll say, `change this line, change this word,Ž like heŽs grading papers."

I think that lyrics 4 "The Chronic" were written by The D.O.C. and Snoop...
-
^RBX contributed, maybe Kurupt did aswell. not 100% on that.
DUBCNN NEEDS TO INTERVIEW DR. DRE (this is possible to happen when Detox has a date and promotion starts for it)
-
If I recall correctly Snoop wrote all of Hoe Hopper and Let Me Ride, to say the least

I always heard Snoop wrote 80% of the Chronic
-
Snoop and DOC wrote most Dre's verses RBX wrote let me ride and Kurupt and Rage wrote their own verses and I think Snoop wrote his own verses back then too before he completely gave and let his ghostwriters take over 8)

+1 thanks for the info brother

just read the names inside the parenthesis in the credits of each song those are the writers, for either the lyrics or music. so some of them weren't really "ghost-writers" they clearly say snoop or rbx wrote the songs on the chronic.
