Dubcnn's "Summer Of Heat" Interview Series continues today with another special guest, rising star Hot Dollar. With his catchy single "Streets On Lock" blowing up on the radio, and his DJ Nik Bean-hosted mixtape "Money, Power, and Techs" generating great feedback, it was only right that Dubcnn sat down with The Dollar Figga President for an in-depth, exclusive video interview.
In this feature, you will hear all about Hot's beginnings as a rapper, and how his mixtape grind eventually grabbed the attention of the major labels and led to him being signed. We also speak about his relationship with Jermaine Dupri, and their experiences in the studio together.
Hot Dollar goes into detail about his forthcoming debut album "My Dreams...A Day In The Life," and tells us that it will be, without question, the album of the year when it is released. We also touch on his now-infamous altercation with Daz, and how that has been resolved.

Personally, Hot Dollar hasn't convinced me yet rap-wise, that Streets on lock beat was addictive though... Props on the interview eddie.

I'm curious, Nima - what do you feel Hot Dollar needs to do? I can see this guy riding up the charts, but his next chart-topper has to top "Streets On Lock."
Props to Hot Dolloar giving props to Scoop DeVille and Kid Frost. Shame that the 2Pac sample never made it through for So So Def, but I'm not whinin'.

Very good interview. I haven't heard a lot of dude's music, but the respectful way that he handled the Daz question gives me a greater appreciation for him. I love to hear about a new artist that is pro-West and willing to show love to anyone pushing a similar life, as opposed to those who are really just looking out for themselves. Dollar seems like an aware, down-to-earth guy - good luck to him.
