Seeing as how Dre released "Let Me Ride" as a single in October 1993 with the Extended Club Mix, is it safe to assume that the song was recorded during Snoop's Doggystyle sessions? The production sounds purely post Chronic and sounds as if it would fit right in within the Doggystyle tracklist.

I think you're right about that...

I think you're right about that...
Yeah, never really thought of the timeline, but that does make sense, and it mos def has a Doggystyle feel to it.
Speaking on Let Me Ride remixes, anyone here think Daz's version off of DR's Greatest Hits v. 1 is highly underrated? That shit has an awesosme vibe to it, and I might add, Daz's beat fit vocals so perfectly, if one didn't hear the Chronic version, you could pass that off as a legit single;

yeh your right, def has more of a doggystyle sound do it

I feel the same way man, Daz did a great job with those remixes, and I fuckin' can't stop bumpin' Nuthin But A G Thang remix too.The vibe there is just so different and great, just like the daz remixes

That Daz remix of "Gin & Juice" is fuckin dope, and the Tony G & Julio G remix of "Lil Ghetto Boy" is muthafuckin classic shit too, by the way could somebody hook that it up?

Perhaps more evidence is actual song "Doggystyle" which featured George Clinton on vocals and eletrical guitar play as well. Dre should've added the Let Me Ride remix to Snoop's album as bonus track.

Great Topic Larrabee, +1
BTW this remix was nice too, I would've like to hear Dre and Snoops vocals, over thislive beat

The Extended Mix is one of my favorite remixes of all time.

The Extended Mix is one of my favorite remixes of all time.
Mine too. Up until recently, I didn't even know there was more to the song after the 6 minute mark. Dre talking on the vocoder and the electric guitar finale sealed the deal. Classic material.
-
Damn...Props for the remixes...Some of the best shit I've heard in a while....
-
The Let Me Ride Club Mix is one of my favorite songs EVER!!! How funky is that beat??? If you watched the Up In Smoke tour DVD, they perform this version, not the original, and Truth Hurts sings the intro and it sounds fuckin amazing.
-
what about that club mix of snoop doggs "whats my name" it breaks into that "jamaica funk" singing towards the end.
-
Props for that Jewell and Lil' Ghetto Boy remix Steven 8)
-
Props 4 "Lil' Ghetto Boy"!!
