Given the caliber of chronic currently residing within Snoop Dogg's narrow being, it's a wonder he can reach for the Funyuns, let alone dash off a baker's dozen discs on his lunch break. His latest, the follow-up to Tha Eastsidaz's G-funk-slathered platinum bow, not only spotlights his mighty mic skills; it heralds his arrival from pup protégé to mizizentor. Make no mistake, Doggy's pimp hand is still strong -- Goldie Loc and Tray Deee once again come off like guests at their own shindig. But, oh, what a shindig it is. Lopin', bumpin', inter-gang lovin', the disc is turned out by an all-star pound: Nate Dogg and Mobb Deep, for starters. But it's Battlecat behind the highlight reel: "I Luv It's" irrepressible fat-bottom bounce, "I Don't Know's" vanilla candle-scented smoove groove. Hell, there's nary a lowlight in the bunch. Seems Snoop's trained his doggs well: They've learned to "stand up and be counted or lay down and be mounted."
