Title: American Band Idol: Could I Hip Hop Band Win???

American Idol is having a spin off this fall called Next Great American Band.

Do you think a hip hop band could win or even get on the show??? What are your thoughts?

The rules say they are looking for all genres, so I guess a hip-hop band could go their and have a shot. but they better be doing some real musical shit and not some hard core rap where people can barely understand what they are saying. Anyone whose seen a live rap performance knows what I'm talking about.

Yeah if you have an actual band like The Roots or something but like Ted said you probably have to have real musical talent and spit non explicit shit.
