While McGwire and Sosa "saved" baseball, to many 756 and beyond will be seen as pure evil lol. To others, he's deserving of the HR King title. What else can be said for the most hated man in American Sports. Everybody will have their opinion, it's easily the most controversial record out there now. As for me, I don't really care.

It was the most amazing thing I have ever seen and to be there in person was incredible. and to the haters the best part is right after he hit the homer on the scoreboard they played a video clip of hank aaron giving props to barry and the new record, it was special!! propz to Barry, like Mays in baseball or Jordan in basketball you are truly one of the greatest athletes that has ever performed, you are incredible man, what a night!

For everyone with ANY sense of whats good about sports, look at it this way. Since Barroid now holds the record, you'll actually be pulling FOR the next ball player to contend for the HR record. And can you imagine how quickly his name will be forgotten when that does happen?

Griffey could make a push. But he's gonna need 4 really good years. Im talkin an average of 40+ HR's/ year.

That's what make these records more prestigious, the fact that the only way you can get so many Hits, Home Runs, SB or whatever is the fact that you play for a loooong time.
