Yesterday afternoon, a co worker and I were discussing Nas. We're both around the same age (he was born in 80, me 81), so we have the same general music timeline.
Then we were discussing the Firm, I Am, and Nastradamus... records I was really feeling, but he couldn't stand; Then we talked about that Stillmatic record. :D
This guy told me that prior to Stillmatic, He thought Takeover was the #2 diss song behind Hit Em Up. He loved everything Jay Z was doing... up until he heard Stillmatic and Ether... and he never looked at Jay Z the same way again.
And we were going back and forth for a little bit, and he revealed that up until Stillmatic, he only liked Illmatic, and It Was Written... yet Stillmatic was the best comeback album he's ever heard.
And that got me thinking; What's the Dubcc communities greatest comback albums?

Geto Boys - Till Death Do Us Part - 3 albums deep and a greatest hits comp. behind them, they still did a great fuckin album even without one of their original members (Willie D), but with a worthy replacement (Big Mike, who, for me, was better than Willie, no disrespect)

I only know him from his work with Geto Boys, but that's enough for me to make that (unfair to some, I'm sure) statement about him and Willie D.How is his solo work tho?I've heard that the Convicts album is pretty good, and his first solo too.I've been meaning to check those albums out in a minute

If you like his rapping on the Geto Boys album, check out his first 2 albums, I'm Serious and Still Serious. Classic Big Mike. Hard 2 Hit is cool but it is more like a compilation. This last one Nawlins Phats is good also, but he is now off of Rap-A-Lot and is going with different producers. But definitely Convicts and his first 2 albums are him at his best.
