Title: Original Version?
Post by: QuietTruth on August 09, 2007, 10:53:38 AM
I need help gettin' this straight. When a track says '(Original Version)' after the track title, does that mean the track was originally given to them first?

Hmm, pretty broad question:

2pac for instance, would mean the instrumental that he istened to back in 96, and rapped over that beat

Or like the Zoom (og version) with Snoop as opposed to LL.

I guess you can say the "original version" is the 1st version, before all remixes

Usually I see it on mixtapes.

Like for example, 50 Cent - I Get Gully, well, Two Five - I Get Gully (Original Version). Does that mean the track was his before 50 Cent had it?

A while back Timbo The King made a thread about Stat Quo - Runaway Love (Original Version).

And I see it alot of times on mixtapes and I'm like whatever, but now I'm just curious. ;D
