Nas has apparently been dissing Jigga for about 5 years. Even Cormega pointed out lyrics that Nas spat on Affirmative Action that dissed Jay Z
With Prodigy & Mobb Deep, they were pissed about Jay Z saying in a song a few years back "New York looked week ever since Snoop came thru & squashed the buildings". That was a refference to Tha Dogg Pound & Snoops video clip for "New York, New York" in which they were walking around like Godziullaz & stomping on NY Buildings. Mobb Deep, C-N-N & others took offense to this & made a song "L.A. L.A" dissing thme bakc & in the video they are shown throwing fake Daz & Kurupts off into the water in body bags. Prodigy feels Jigga had no right to say they look weak when he didnt even respond to the diss to NY by DPG & because he didnt diss 2Pac back.

Mobb Deep released "Drop a gem on em" Before his death (around a month before), which dissed Pac saying how he got bucked in NY & raped in jail.
Mobb Deep were only responding to Pac, who started the shit for NO REASON. 2Pac started it by saying Mobb Deep was copying him by saying "Thug Life, we still livin it" in Survival Of The Fittest. What a load of BS. Just coz Pac was the first to use the word Thug Life in rap doesnt mean others out there didnt & dont live it.
In fact, Mobb Deep were more Thug than 2Pac IMO. Besides, even if they were copying Pac, I remember around the time survival of the fittest was released 2Pac was all up in VIBE saying "I dont wanna live the THUG LIFE anymore, i'm tired of it. Let someone else rep the THUG LIFE. If anyone wants to live the THUG LIFE they can have it cuz THUG LIFE is just not me anymore"

Anyway, of course Mobb Deep didnt want 2Pac to really die, just like Pac probably wouldnt wanted them too.
Prodigy said that he always admirred Pac & was shocked when Pac dissed him.
