OK, so Kanye West has had a change of heart — there will be one rapper on his upcoming Graduation LP after all. Lil Wayne has made the final cut and will appear on a track called "Barry Bonds," Roc-A-Fella/ Def Jam confirmed Tuesday (August 14).
Bonds — Major League Baseball's controversial, newly crowned home-run king — is apparently a metaphor for how big West thinks the record will be. The chorus goes, "Here's another hit, Barry Bonds."
As he's been doing on "Can't Tell Me Nothing," its remix and "Stronger," West uses "Barry Bonds" in part to proclaim his continued evolution as one of the top lyricists in the game.
"You should go 'head and bow so hard that you knees hit your fo'head," he raps over slow synths. "And the flow just hit code red/ Top five MCs, you ain't gotta remind me/ Top five MCs, you gotta rewind me/ I'm high up on the line, you could get in behind me/ But my head's so big, you can't sit behind me."
Weezy F. Baby does his usual stylized guest-vocal spazz outs. "My teeth and my ice so white like Shay Day/ The ice in my teeth so reee-frig-er-ated/ I'm all about my Franklins, Lincolns and Reagans/ Whenever they make them."
"Barry Bonds" isn't the next official single from Graduation, however — that'll be "Good Life," which features singer T-Pain. Kanye samples Michael Jackson's "P.Y.T." and speaks up reveling and celebrating. Chris Martin of Coldplay has also been announced by Roc-A-Fella/ Def Jam as a collaborator on "Homecoming."
Graduation — despite some Internet rumors to the contrary — is still dropping September 11 and will face off against 50 Cent's Curtis LP (see "Kanye West And 50 Cent Set For Epic Battle: Both Releasing Albums On September 11").

No Jay-Z, Common, Consequence or Talib on his album?
West isn't that strong of a rapper, i dunno if he can hold down a whole album by himself

I believe he can! i mean he gotta start somewhere or he will never solidify his status as a rapper, so he has to prove that he can do it all by himself!

co-sign
i love them kanye collabos with talb & common

I agree it'll be hard for kanye to hold the album on his own with no guest appearances, but it'll be interesting to see how he does nonetheless. Can't Tell Me Nothing has some really dope lyrics, so who knows
And this track is really good to me.Beat is nice, Kanye and Wayne do their thing, and that's enough for me 8)

yep and the 3 tracks we have heard so far hasn't proved the contrary ... Can't Tell me nothing is good but weak replay value , I don't like Stronger , this one is aight ...
-
Aint feeling this one too much, beat is kinda boring. Those 2 couldve come up with something more spectacular than this.
-
props, i will give it a listen.

personally, if he got Talib and Common and Mos Def in the studio, I'd rather them work on a group album than be featured on a Kanye CD. I still say Talib, Mos and Common form a group with Kanye as a producer, or as part of the group lyrically as well.
-
I prefer Talib P.Monch and Common...

I agree... actually, both Kanye and Wayne sound boring... this is too different from what Kanye did on his previous 2 albums. I'm really disappointed by this joint, BUT The College Dropout also had only one wack song and that is a personal classic to me.

i need the CDQ before I can judge it.
