I already heard The Fix and it's dope too so maybe yall can tell me if i've missed something ?

mos def start off with Scarface's debut "Mr. Scarface Is Back" as well as Geto Boys "Grip It On That Other Level" album... they both have that late 80's, early 90's grimey sound to them.

Yeah Face is the man. Definitely one of my favorites. You in for a treat when you listen to Last Of A Dying Breed. That one is on some other shit. Geto Boys too, check out all of it. But alot of the Scarface albums past the Fix have been just leftovers J Prince has put together and they have not been as good.

the fact that nobody in this thread had something bad to say about him speaks volumes, espeically in this forum......he is a legend, top 10 of all time imo........i would highly recommened you listen to 'mr scarface' next, its my personally favorite of his and its 15, 16 years old!.......alos homies is dope as fuck too.......all the ones you heard are obviously incredible as well........last of a dying breed is actually my least favorite, but still and 8/10 album.......just a few awkward callaborations

Yeah the Jayo/DPG track really did not fit and the Redman joint was ehh. But that track For What is one of the greatest solo joints he did in my opinion. That beat was crazy.

Face's catalogue is amazing....he had group classics, solo classics, he spit knowledge...undoubtedly the King of the South. Anyone else is a pretender.

Scarface is one of the best storytellers ever.....If he were from the East, people would mention him in the top five of all times...Even his guest appearances are DOPE.. Check out Anthony Hamilton's remix of " Comin from where I"m From" with Scarface..I know it may be R&B but as usual, Face tells his story.

I love the album,the only Scarface album I have a little problem with is The Fix. I rather have him working with his in house producers over at Rap-A-Lot than the "hot right now" producers that Def Jam hooked him up with.
I would love to see a Scarface,Devin and Too Short album,they have a good chemistry.
But overall,all of his work is dope and he´s a slept on producer.

The Geto Boys are a rap group from Houston, Texas, consisting of Scarface, Willie D and Bushwick Bill. They are known for ultra-violent lyrical content and socially conscious messages.
Influenced by N.W.A., The Geto Boys earned notoriety for their lyrics dealing with violence, sex and death. Despite the explicit content of their songs, critic Alex Henderson argues that the group "comes across as much more heartfelt than the numerous gangsta rap ... wannabes who jumped on the gangsta bandwagon in the early '90s."
The Geto Boys broke new ground with their soulful southern sound (perhaps a precursor to the Dirty South style), which was produced by people like Johnny C, Doug King, their DJ Ready Red, and later John Bido (producer) N.O. Joe and Mike Dean.
History
Their 1990 album The Geto Boys had to switch distributors from Geffen to Warner Bros. Records because of controversy over the graphic portrayal of rape, necrophilia, and murder in the song "Mind of a Lunatic." It was later released with alternate lyrics on iTunes and in their compilation CD, Uncut Dope. The Geto Boys (released by Rick Rubin's Def American Recordings, later re-named American Recordings) is actually a compilation, consisting mainly of ten tracks taken from its 1989 album Grip It! On That Other Level, as well as two new songs and one song from its debut LP, Making Trouble.
In the early part of the decade, several American politicians attacked rappers, including the Geto Boys (though most famously Ice T and 2 Live Crew). A high-profile incident in which Bushwick Bill lost an eye in a shooting with his girlfriend helped boost sales of their third album We Can't Be Stopped. The album cover had a picture of the injured Bushwick being carted through a hospital by Scarface and Willie D. In the album's title track, they responded to being dropped by Geffen. "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" became a hit in the rap community.
All three members began solo careers, but Willie D. was the only one who actually left the group. Scarface and Bushwick Bill continued with Geto Boys, adding Big Mike for Till Death Do Us Part in 1993. Willie D. returned for 1996's The Resurrection and 1998's Da Good Da Bad & Da Ugly. After years on hiatus, they released their seventh album The Foundation in 2005. The Geto Boys were featured on Scarface's My Homies Part 2 album.
The Geto Boys' popularity was boosted somewhat in 1999 by the prominent use of two songs — "Damn It Feels Good to Be a Gangsta" (original, later released as a single on vinyl) and "Still" (from The Resurrection) — in Mike Judge's film Office Space, which has become a cult film. Also, the song "Mind of a Lunatic" was covered by rock band Marilyn Manson in 2003, as a B-side off of the album The Golden Age of Grotesque.

Yeah Bido is a beast on them boards. I found my Blac Monks, the 2nd album No Mercy and Bido damn near produced the whole album. That one was cool but their 1st is a classic. I liked the OG 2 Me track with DPG and Jayo, the beat was sick but I thought the mcs really did not mesh that well on it for some reason. Last Of A Dying Breed is a near classic for me. One of my favs from Scarface.

But the first Blac´Monks is fire :firedevil: ,as far as I can read from the booklet and my knowledge John Bido produced the whole album. I heard John Bido put that group together.
I love when Kurupts verse come in on OG 2.... track,really cinametic,so I think they mesh real well with beat.

yeah scarface and geto boys are fuckin awesome. Good point someone made about how dope he is if not a single negative reply in the thread. I recently been heavily getting into geto boys, before I just listened to their well known songs such as Minds Playin Tricks, Damn It Feels Good To Be a Gangsta, etc. One track that I just recently heard for the first time is "Geto boys and Girls"...damn I fuckin love that song! Straight classic.

The Geto Boys are a rap group from Houston, Texas, consisting of Scarface, Willie D and Bushwick Bill. They are known for ultra-violent lyrical content and socially conscious messages.
Influenced by N.W.A., The Geto Boys earned notoriety for their lyrics dealing with violence, sex and death. Despite the explicit content of their songs, critic Alex Henderson argues that the group "comes across as much more heartfelt than the numerous gangsta rap ... wannabes who jumped on the gangsta bandwagon in the early '90s."
The Geto Boys broke new ground with their soulful southern sound (perhaps a precursor to the Dirty South style), which was produced by people like Johnny C, Doug King, their DJ Ready Red, and later John Bido (producer) N.O. Joe and Mike Dean.
History
Their 1990 album The Geto Boys had to switch distributors from Geffen to Warner Bros. Records because of controversy over the graphic portrayal of rape, necrophilia, and murder in the song "Mind of a Lunatic." It was later released with alternate lyrics on iTunes and in their compilation CD, Uncut Dope. The Geto Boys (released by Rick Rubin's Def American Recordings, later re-named American Recordings) is actually a compilation, consisting mainly of ten tracks taken from its 1989 album Grip It! On That Other Level, as well as two new songs and one song from its debut LP, Making Trouble.
In the early part of the decade, several American politicians attacked rappers, including the Geto Boys (though most famously Ice T and 2 Live Crew). A high-profile incident in which Bushwick Bill lost an eye in a shooting with his girlfriend helped boost sales of their third album We Can't Be Stopped. The album cover had a picture of the injured Bushwick being carted through a hospital by Scarface and Willie D. In the album's title track, they responded to being dropped by Geffen. "Mind Playing Tricks on Me" became a hit in the rap community.
All three members began solo careers, but Willie D. was the only one who actually left the group. Scarface and Bushwick Bill continued with Geto Boys, adding Big Mike for Till Death Do Us Part in 1993. Willie D. returned for 1996's The Resurrection and 1998's Da Good Da Bad & Da Ugly. After years on hiatus, they released their seventh album The Foundation in 2005. The Geto Boys were featured on Scarface's My Homies Part 2 album.
The Geto Boys' popularity was boosted somewhat in 1999 by the prominent use of two songs — "Damn It Feels Good to Be a Gangsta" (original, later released as a single on vinyl) and "Still" (from The Resurrection) — in Mike Judge's film Office Space, which has become a cult film. Also, the song "Mind of a Lunatic" was covered by rock band Marilyn Manson in 2003, as a B-side off of the album The Golden Age of Grotesque.

Some very informative posts in this thread. I'm sure you have enough suggestions to get you started, but I figured I'd throw in a couple more. One of my favorite Scarfacce guest spots is on Do Or Die's sophomore album, Headz Or Tailz, called "Who Am I?" The track has that really dark feel, and I think Do Or Die and Scarface work well together. I'm a huge DOD fan, so the collaboration with Scarface was pretty cool. I'm sure you've heard his collabo with 2Pac and Johnny P, "Smile," but if not check that out. My favorite Scarface solo track has to be "Now I Feel Ya." A great message, and I love it when a great song is a lengthy track to boot, coming in at 7:30 minutes.
