September 7th & Crooked I "Hip-Hop Weekly Mixtape" - August 15, 2007 By : Rud
(http://www.dubcnm.com/cdcovers/september7th-hiphopweekly-crookedi-lg-dubcnn.jpg)
Over the past twenty weeks we have been unleashing the heavily acclaimed Crooked I "Hip-Hop Weekly" series of freestyles. The tracks, which we have released by means of updates and our Official Hip-Hop Weekly Archive, have been an incredible success and garnered immense attention to the Long Beach talent.
With word of his impending debut album "B.O.S.S" being at long last readied for release and the continuation of the "Hip-Hop Weekly" series; Crooked I has teamed up with Cali Untouchable DJ rookie September 7th for a "Hip-Hop Weekly Mixtape" release.
September 7th's "Hip Hop Weekly Mixtape" chronicles Weeks 1-19 in the series so far all on one disc. Although the series is set to continue he has, with the 19 weeks thus far, completed 80 minutes of microphone manslaughter and that is the reason for the mixtape compilation.
The new release also features the brand new Jim Gettum< produced single, N.W.A. (New West Anthem) that can be requested on local radio stations now. Even though you may have listened and/or downloaded the tracks from Dubcnn's Official Hip-Hop Weekly Archive you now have the opportunity to download them all combined in this exclusive Free Download of the September 7th & Crooked I "Hip Hop Weekly Mixtape."
Dubcnn Presents: September 7th & Crooked I - Hip Hop Weekly Mixtape (Free Download)
Enjoy the new release and stay tuned to Dubcnn for the latest in the Hip-Hop Weekly series as well as news on Cali Untouchable DJ September 7th's latest projects.

Nice 8) Like I said in the other thread, I'm not gonna download it since I prefer listening to non-tagged songs, but I'm sure the idea of dropping this mixtape for the streets is a good thing. Crooked can use all the promo he gets.
-
That is the business right there. Major thanks for this Rud and Dubcnn.

Okay, and the question is... ARE THEY TAGGED?

GOod shit I just gave away my other copy with 1-18 8)

Okay, and the question is... ARE THEY TAGGED?
-
They are tagged... but there is a couple advantages to this release... the double ups are separated, but that was easily done. However, they mixed out the shout outs so you don't have to skip over them.
There are a few tags with "Cali Untouchable DJs" and some of them Crook added in "September 7th"...
-
Just delete the shout out edition talking yourself, get Sound Forge or Cool Edit and cut em. Still, this is convienent, and it'll probably be sold at swap meets and what not, so its still tight!

I've already done it myself...
But it's like you said, this is good for Crooked I, it gives an official CD with his support to be sold and distributed. Crook obviously had input on this, because he has some tags of his own through out it.

Man big ups to all the sites supporting Crooked with these freestyles, he has created a buzz for himself once again. Definitely hope that his album drops before the end of the year.

Don't think he'll stop at 21. Hopefully he'll keep on to fill another tape

Yo Crooked is straight killin it with his hip hop weekly freestyles. I be tryin to tell lots of these niggas that been sleepin on this kat that he fo real. He sound better than most the original MCs on they track. I just need to know who spits on Just the King from week 7. I forgot who raps on that. Holla back, so I can keep showin these ignorant niggas who the Boss of West Coast is and how he be makin other MCs look foolish.
-
^^ Nobody raps on the beat of "Just The King". Thats a beat made by a producer whos doing a blog on hiphopdx.com I think. Everybody thought this was going to be on T.I.'s album and that it was produced by Just Blaze but we were wrong. Check out this thread: http://dynastyentgroup.com/forum/index.php?topic=10112.0
