As you know, DubCNN loves to break fresh Hip-Hop talents, irrespective of where they are based. With that in mind, today we'd like to introduce you to New York City's Reka The Saint. A native of Queens, Reka is a throwback to the lyrical, punchline-heavy MCs that the East Coast has been praised for producing.
While new to our site, Reka has been grinding as an artist for some time. He has already collaborated with fan favorites like Shabaam Sahdeeq, Ali Vegas, and even the legendary MC Shan. In fact, Hip-Hop pioneer Shan will be hosting 'The Saint's' forthcoming mixtape, "Survival New York." No newcomer to the mix circuit, Reka has appeared on releases by DJs such as J-Love, DJ Absolut, and DJ L-Gee.
We have two Reka The Saint tracks available to download below. The first track is called "Betta", and sees The Saint drop some rewind-worthy bars over a strummed instrumental from producer Jo-Ski. The second, meanwhile, is a gritty, boisterous collaboration with popular NYC lyricist, Ali Vegas. Check both out below:
Reka The Saint - Betta (Audio)
Reka The Saint (Feat. Ali Vegas) - They Hate Me (Audio)
If you enjoyed the tracks, be sure to seek out a copy of Reka' street album, In The Beginning. The underground record is currently available through Illseed Ent. We'll have more on this talented MC soon, but until then check out Reka The Saint's MySpace
---
Please drop some feedback on the tracks! Reka's a cool MC with a lot of potential, and will be checking in on this thread. :)

Word on Ali Vegas. I think he had a decent buzz at one point. Anyway, I never really followed him 'til I was over in NYC, and saw how much work he was putting in on mixtapes. Don't understand why he hasn't dropped an album. I know Rich Soil, the label he's on, has a deal with Asylum...
"Mic wrecka like Reka..." Vegas' flow there was dope.
Glad these cuts have gotten some positive responses. Stay tuned for some more Reka The Saint material in the future. Gonna try to get a hold of the Sahdeeq collabo in MP3. The one I heard is nice.

Even tho he is doing his own thing, DJ Clue had him blackballed something serious.
