From XXLmag.com (posted Tuesday, August 14th, 2007)
Omar Cruz, Immortal Technique and Jerry Heller will headline this year’s Latin Rap Conference, taking place in Los Angeles from September 12 to 14. The annual three-day event consists of education seminars, performance showcases and exclusive private events at various hot spots on Los Angeles’ Sunset Strip. The conference has also become a forum for the Latin Rap Coalition Board of Directors, a group comprised of Latin hip-hop’s top executives, artists and radio personalities. “Our goal is to continue the movement towards the advancement and solidarity of Latino people in the music industry and in all aspects of the American marketplace,” says Jesse Perez, the creator and founder of the Latin Rap Conference. Los Angeles native, and Interscope/Geffen Records recording artist, Omar Cruz, is just one of the big names that will take part in the event. Underground MC, Immortal Technique, and Ruthless Records co-founder, Jerry Heller, will also be in attendance. For more information on the Latin Rap Conference, visit www.latinrapconference.com.
The conference and various seminars will be held at the Hyatt Hotel on Sunset:

I dont know how this so call "Latin Rap Conference " is any good for the latino movement..........ill pass
-
NOT TO SURE EITHER, ITS AROUND $200!! IS IT MORE OF AN EVENT FOR ARTIST TO GO NETWORK, OR A SHOW TO BE ENTERTAINED, SEEMS IFY, BUT I GUESS ULL NEVER KNOW IF U DONT GO, WELL SEE
-
From what I've read on their website, I think it's more of an event where artists can network with each other. Various seminars will be held too, so yeah...I don't think it's the kind of event you hit up just to be entertained.
By the way: did anyone go to DJ Skee's Envy Expo party last night at Privilege? Apparently, Omar Cruz would've have performed there.
-
might just be a good investment then, u rolling ?
-
If you cough up some money for my plane-ticket, then hell yeah I'm going ;) But nah, I'm from Belgium...so I can't go. And even if I had the money, I still wouldn't be able. School starts September 3rd here and I have to start teaching then.
I'd love to attend Omar's album release party though (whenever that is)...that would be cool.

lol WHAT THE FUCK I LOOK LIKE YOUR BITCH :nawty:....... I FEEL U THOUGH, GET UR EDUCATION ON THAT MIGHT BE MORE IMPORTANT

Well, I done already had my education. I'm a graduated man since July 2007 8) Like I said, I start teaching in September.
Btw, aren't you connected with Omar & LuLu? If my memory serves me right, I think I've seen a pic once on Omar's Myspace with you. Maybe you can roll with them, perhaps even get a discount since Omar's headlining this event. You can always try! :)

jerry heller co-owns Streetlife Records with Pablito Vasquez and Johnny J. He was also instrumental in developing Hit A Licc with Slow Pain and them. Both labels is like dedicated to latin gangsta rap. That was like Eazy-Es big dream at one point.
