RAEKWON IS READY TO MOVE!
I can’t say for certain, but I am hearing that Raekwon the chef is really ready to move forward with his album. Apparently, the album is ready, but it needs that Dr. Dre magic to be complete. How does that happen when he hasn’t been able to get in the studio with Dre? That’s just what I am hearing. Anyway. I’m hearing Aftermath might be unloading other artists that haven’t quite gotten the “traction” that they were expected to get. No names. Anyway, that’s that.

nothing surprises me with aftermath.... BUT.. those rumors on AHH have been right up there with Wendy Williams outlandish tales... so its whatver
-
lol wow Dre to buisy to work with any1...surprise

Really though.
I wanna know what he's so busy with. I mean, he hasn't dropped an album in almost ten years. And Aftermath drops an album like once every two years. So what is he doing with all his time?

well wouldnt suprise me.
dre really needs to come out n say something rather than all this hear-say from other rappers, we need him to say something!
i hope raekwon has dre beats on it, i was lookin forward to that.
-
Raekwon ain't signed to the Math ... plus he has no interest in it (outside it'd reduce the cost of the Dre beats ) ... as Styles said , AHH Rumors are 99% pure BS but we don't need AHH to know J.Ortiz , Marsha and Tiffany Villareal won't never drop an album

I really hope Raekwon drops an album on Aftermath, with or without Dre. I know it's an illusion, but hopefully he blows the fuck up and helps to set a new standard, so that the quality of mainstream rap improves.
Tiffany Villareal looks cute.
-
By the way Raekwon has already made tracks with Dre, even before talks about siginin on the Math so this is PURE BS
-
Rumour or not, Aftermath would probably benefit from a house cleaning.

Arranging his $100's and $50's into neat piles...
-
^^^^ probably dude made 20 Millions in 06 just by releasing 10-15 beats, mixing a whole album and running his label ... life is too easy for him I guess

allhiphop rumours are fuckin shit. this article was posted here on the Dub about 2 days ago:
"Built 4 Cuban Linx II," meanwhile, will be 14 or 15 tracks of "raw hip-hop," with production he says is "a little deeper." Collaborators on the album include Dr. Dre, RZA and the late J. Dilla, the latter on what Raekwon calls "a brother and sister track" to "Triumph" from 1997's "Wu-Tang Forever." He may also be looking for a new label home for the album, as Raekwon says he and Interscope "didn't come to a complete understanding about the project."

so it would appear that jimmy is fucking the project up, not Dre...

Wonder if Bishop will ever be able to drop an album on Aftermath. Dont really care though.
-
^^^^ Bishop will probably have a club record or a funny one ala "My name is" as a 1st single .. I don't see major pbs for him , outside the usual pushbacks
-
The issue Rae has is w/ Interscope, not Dre. As for people getting droppped or leaving, it could possibly be Rae and Dion. I don't know about Marsha, Eve & Busta. But Bishop, Joell, Stat and Tiffany are pretty much set in stone.
btw, Eve's album is currently set for Oct. 16th.
wcsoldier, Gage and Antonio were signed to the Math.

It was done but it's delayed for a couple reasons. One reason is that there isn't a big enough buzz surrounding "Here We Go" at the moment. Also, Interscope is spreading the releases which is why Eve is no longer so close to 50's release. I also have a feeling that both Eve and Stat are adding a track or two to their albums to replace "FIRE" since it looks like it'll end up on 50's album (assuming "Fire" was the same Dre beat for all three artists).
So the way it looks now for Aftermath:
50 Cent = Sep. 11th
Eve = Oct. 16th
Stat = Nov/Dec.
Eminem = 1st quarter of '08
Biship = 2nd quarter
Dre = late Summer
-
aftermath won't be aftermath until it get close as can be to the 2001 aftermath, and that's impossible wit this washed up eminem and snitchy cent, so i dont expect shit from aftermath right now

---Knock Knock Knock!!!---

---Knock Knock Knock!!!----
Rakwon: "Yo, anybody there?"
Label A&R: "Who is it?"
Rakwon: "It's the Chef, nigga, open up?"
Label A&R: "Who the fuck is the Chef. You know we are closed at 2pm on Wednesdays."
Rakwon: "The Chef, nigga, you know, Wu-Tang Clan ain't nuthin to fuck with!"
Label A&R: "Ohh, sorry, yeah, come on in. How's the album comin."
Rakwon: "Yo, it's hott. Niggaz been puttin in mad work on this shit, god. Now we just ready for Dre to do his magic and make this shit a classic."
Label A&R: "Ummm... yeah... you know... about Dre. He's busy working on Detox I think. I don't think he's gonna be available for a little while."
Rakwon: "Well, you better call dude, cause I done signed with this label for less than a point just so I could work with Dre and make a classic."
Label A&R: "You know, I hear Koch records is given pretty good contracts these days to has-beens----- I mean, experienced artists who are looking to release another quality album."
Rakwon: "Naw nigga! Now you get on the phone and call Dre, I'm ready to be the next DOC, the next Snoop, the next Eminem, the next 50 Cent, it's my time to shine solo nigga! Now get on the phone before I tie your asshole up and start feeding you!"
Label A&R: "Okay, okay, but.. Dre changed his number. Let me call his friend, director Phill Atwell and see if I can get it."
...to be continued

He's suposedly engeneering the "new sound" that will mark this era but i don't believe a word of this theory ..sadly enough i must say
-
I know something that is really gonna shake the westcoast and the aftermath roster
-
The only people doing things on Aftermath are 50 and, when he drops his labum next year, Eminem. ...and surprise surprise..those are also the only artists who can push units without having to worry about getting Dre's blessing, or production/name attached.
I love Dre, but I find it easier to just consider him retired and not expect anything coming from him or, for the most part, his label. That way when shit drops on Aftermath its a pleasant surprise. :)
