I know they mean that they are not doing a pop record and want a mature audience. I guess they mean shooting a expensive ass video would be a waste of money???

BUt Ice cube did it for his record with his first single, so why not do it for Wc.

The reality is that Cube has a MUCH larger audience than WC and is an artist that is popular on a national scale, so for him to do the whole mainstream video, bet appearance and all that may be beneficial because those are some of his fans. For WC, they're being realistic in that he's primarily a westcoast artist, so thats where they'll promote him.
