Title: news about the"Truth Hurts" and "Wash" albums
Post by: mellowman on July 26, 2001, 12:52:27 PM: i'm not sure what happened on this board but for right now im too busy to care.anyways like i told you a few weeks ago Truth Hurts self titled debut album would be the next Aftermath release and that it would most likely drop in the fall. well, interscope has decided that October will be the month. the exact date is unknown. another bit of good news is that with the wash movie release date still being pushed up we could have that soundtrack available in september. regardless your gonna get 2 aftermath releases in the span of a few months. so very shortly your much appreciated patience will be rewarded. can't talk too much about The Wash soundtrack yet but its gonna be hotter than a bundled up eskimo near the equator. the first single from this soundtrack could be Truth Hurts joint "Benefit of the Doubt".
a few months ago i mentioned that Truths album was going to have some surprise producers involved. welli now can reveal them. they are:
the mighty d-r-e produced about half of the album. the other featured producers are Tim and Bob, organized noize, r kelly and dj quik. so when combining the Truths unfuckinbelievable voice and these 5 incredible producers you get a very very very dope album. dre's gonna change r&b again just like he did with Michel'le. our friends at interscope have already gotten the marketing campaign off as the last few days they have sent press releases to various news organizations and mediums. so hopefully you'll be able to hear some more info in the next few weeks.thats all i have. now its back to my head spinning schedule.i'll check in one more time in the next few weeks but you won't hear from me much besides that over the next month or so cause at the beginning of august i'm gonna take a week break and then upon my return get back to another shitload of work. but i wanted to give y'all some news from the Aftermath front. later. peace y'all.
