Title: Anyone still bump N*gger Noize?
Post by: d-nice on September 02, 2007, 10:56:20 PM
Threw this back in the ride today. Still one of the best west coast releases this year IMO. The Truth with Stacee Adams is exactly that.

To each his own but it's more of a street album then a mixtape and this shit was fucking dope imo.

Shameless promo.  ;D What up Rud! What did that album end up doing as far as download numbers?

Shiiiiiiiit, i never did check the download numbers after the first few months, initially it went bananas; first 5 days it was over 25000, from there on i checked it after about 60 days and it was over 75,000 - as i said in my old thread "if ever i wished we coulda charged a $ a download" - dubcnn woulda been financially floating!

Footsteps is dope off this also. He flipped that Isley Brothers sample nice. Almost as good as Cube on It Was A Good Day.

No doubt. I would have paid a dollar for it.  ;D Yeah I remember when it first dropped. The buzz off of that was CRAZY.

Footsteps in the darkness was my favourite track. I still listen to tracks from his myspace now and again, it was hot. But ive been pumping his Caltroit/Focus's new album tracks. No Stoppin Carson dam, i wish he would release the full version of it. Song is craziest Dres produced since The Documentry.

one of the marks of a good album to me is its replay value and this one has alot of it, I think the anticipation of Bishop's Aftermath debut has something to do with it but one of the few albums that was released this year that's still in the rotation
Title: Re: Anyone still bump N*gger Noize?
Post by: messi19 on September 03, 2007, 07:04:28 AM
To me, it was the production who stood out on that tape.

Some very tracks good on it .. as a whole it's an above average street album.. the most important is how will sound the Reformation ..

Wrong, people only got it cuz it was free.   You put a buck on and a whole shitload of ppl wouldn't have bought it.  So you made the right choice in the beginning.  Promotion before Caking

It's all good homeboy. You know me, I got so much music I threw it in last night and I always thought it was dope, but I really just let it bump all the way through and there have been few ALBUMS that you can buy in stores this year that fuck with that album.

Yup lol, that sales number would have been but in half or even less, alotta people that visit are probably teens ages like 13-17 and they all dont got paypal n credit cards n shit like that gets in the way, so even if it was a buck there helpless even if they wanted to buy it and didnt care about the money!!!

it is so incredible dope man...exactly, u can bump this front to back, can't do that shit with 98% of the albums that come out now..and production was really great..honestly i'm starting 2 prefer a focus beat over a dre beat LOL :P

someone requested a version of "First They Love You" with less skee....i edited it and took out the skee drops during the chorus's....best i could do homies....sounds alot better now since there isnt much skee drops during the verses....btw i also made it alil louder (seemed like alotta the songs werent that high in volume)...i think this is prolly the best song on the mixtape...9th sounds like he tried to make a dre sounding beat imo...hot ass beat

I bump at least once a month, since it was out, still havent got tired of it. I mean, look at the fucking production credits, it makes you wonder what he'll have on the actual album. If only the quality of the sound was a little better and without the annyoing Skee tags.

That 9th Wonder joint is just too dope. If we'd have the "album of the year" thread right now, I would pick N*gger Noize.
