The beat is certainly very average, and if this is seriously the one 50 picked out of all the beats offered to him I'm not convinced that Dre will release the classic I'm anticipating from Detox

You recognize a loop because it (usually) does not contain the added effects in the song since the beat is just looped from a 4 or 8 bar break at the beginning or end of the song, which is particularly annoying in Dre-produced songs since his added effects often make the songs great IMO

Actually I'm gonna disagree with you guys here. Listen to this beat on a decent set of speakers...it bangs! The only problem was that it was put behind a generic "club" record by 50 and Nicole. You may think I'm crazy, but I hope Dre extends upon this sound for future beats and/or Detox. There is an aggressiveness to the sounds in this joint that is more in your face than a lot of Dre records lately.

dre made this in 15 minutes probably the beat is way to simple although its a club beat its not at the normal dre standards for a beat

Man you don't need a really complex instrumental for a good song. Dre's never really been about complexity. All you need is a tightly put together arrangement and high quality sounds.

The beat is cool but it's not one I expected from Dre.At a first listen I would have thought this was the work of Timbaland, the beat is not one we're used to hearing from dre

Why are yall surprised?  Dre's beats the last few years have been about 75% garbage.  He's not inspired AT ALL for most of these cats he's fuckin with.  He needs somebody to light a fire under his ass creatively, cuz Em & 50 have clearly fallen the fuck off.

It doesn't even sound like a Dre production to me. First beat from Dre in years that's below average.

Ironically the only Dre beat on the album was forced by Interscope. The beat bangs, you people really gotta stop listening to beats on your computer, but the song is average.

I agree with you on listening to tracks on a computer. I have not heard it yet in my system, but just the melody and the whole vibe of the track is average and bland to me.

sounds like a soundclick producer.   Not saying it sucks, but it sounds like a cheap knockoff of a timberland beats.  The synths dont even sound good.  they sound cheap.

and just the whole melody is alright at best.

thats an alright beat, but from dre i gots to say its trash.  Cus im use to nothing but dope beats from him.
