IMHO this is snoops best and most consistent album, its got the most songs that i can listen to repeatdly on any Snoop album. The following still bang in my stereo.
Hennesey n Buddah
Snoop Dogg (What's My Name, Pt. 2)
True Lies
Wrong Idea
Set It Off
Stacey Adams
Lay Low -
Bring It On
Brake Fluid (Biiittch Pump Yo Brakes)
Y'all Gone Miss Me

Yeah All Those Songs, have been victims of my System repeat syndrome
especially "Henessy N Buddah"
Oh I replayed that Song..so Much I thot i was going MAd!!!
-
Excluding Doggystyle I could see that.
-
Yeah..I'm assuming this is excluding Doggystyle..I think LM a dope album, i keep on flippin between it and Doggfather as far as the best non-Doggystyle Snoop album.
-
nah... blue carpet treatment and doggystyle are better. top dogg is almost as good, too.
-
Doggystyle is obviously the best Snoop album, no doubt, no contest, no question.
But after that? I'm bordering on Tha Last Meal and The Blue Carpet Treatment. The latter is otherwise excellent, but it's got some "meh" tracks on there, especially towards the end.

Ya Mite Be Onto sumthin there..I wuld Consider Blue Carpet, as a Follow Up to Were Doggstyle left Off..
DoggFather was real Cool For Me.
Paid the Cost
Rhtythm & Gangsta
^
Were All nice Concept for snoop to work with Outside producer, and thus bring a different side lyrically and style..They Worked for the Crowd he was aiming For!!

co-sign. I would give a slight edge to Last Meal for having more dope tracks throughout. BCT really started to tail off at the end.
-
after doggystyle, yes no doubt the last meal is the best

Honestly since Doggystyle, Snoop has a handful of dope tracks from each album that I end up vibing with. So it becomes what group of songs from particular albums do I like more than others. Because alot of his albums are all over the place. This one was solid throughout for the most part. (TLM)

I think so. Cause Snoop will never make an album as good as Doggystyle anymore.
IMO 'Paid the cost' is Snoop's second best album.

Don't forget Go Away on that list. That song was dope as fuck.

I said this and they acted like I was crazy. It was good to hear Ren and believe it or not next to Goldy, master P had a top line on Lay Low. short and to the point:
Whassup pimpin? It's P and Snoop
With Dre on the beat, this ain't nuttin but loot
They call me Jackhammer for all the bread I got
but they call me Bill Clinton for all the head I got
I keeps it real-ah, cause I'm all about my scrilla
The ladies love me cause I'm a million dolla hitta
It's, No Limit til I D-I-E
C-P-3, or Richmond, Cali's where I be

1. Doggystyle

imo.
-
doggystyle, doggfather and top dogg are better..

i used to deny the fact that Last meal was a great album, but after listening to it a couple of weeks ago, i have to say that it should be Snoop Best effort since Doggystyle, the way the album starts is sooo clean, and the opening song (hen n bud) is such a great song, i think my only problem with that record was the over used of Kokane but i got over it! but still I wish that Back Up Hoe and Purple made the album!
-
listen to the O.G.'s they know what they are talking about
-
LMAO
-
I would say Doggfather for me its probably the only Snoop album other than Doggystyle I can listen to front to back without skipping a song, but Last Meal definitely had some bangers but I think it had a few fillers towards the 2nd half of the album, but the first half of the album is as good as any other Snoop album, Hennesey n Buddah might be my favorite all time Snoop track 8)

Man the way that beat kicks in is sick. Snoop did his thing on that album. The track with Eve is dope also.

I'm gonna half to pop this back haven't listened to it in a minute, perfect way to start off an album only tracks I wasn't feeling was the No Limit Track that felt out of place towards the end of the album and the one where Snoop is singing ;D
-
"The Last Meal" is a great album but Snoop's best material is, was, and forever will be "Doggystyle".
-
Doggystyle>No Limit Top Dogg>Tha Last Meal
-
i thought the doggfather was poor
-
i thought the doggfather was poor
same here :( but I think Last Meal CANNOT be considered his best because of an album called Doggystyle ;)

The title of this thread is funny, doggystyle is bar far snoops best album.
Always like last meal though, a solid album and an improvement on top dogg imo.
-
pre-dubcnn west coast section was MUCH different
-
This track "Y'all Gone Miss Me" contains tha same sample as "Serial Killa" and "California Vacation"... I mean this synth from Ohio Players' "Funky Worm". ;)
-
^^You're missing "Smokefest" and "Dead Man Walkin"
