Title: CREATIVE ZEN MICRO HELP
Post by: Meho on September 09, 2007, 02:34:08 PM
I have this mp3 player for about a year now. I turn it on like on every other day and the thing freezes up. It shows the Creative copyrigt first and then goes to the Creative logo and it freezes up.

WTF can I do ????????

Instead of asking us, you can call creatives customer support. I'm pretty sure they'll know what to do considering they work for the company.

NOOOO, don't buy an Ipod, there's no need to be that drastic..  :oi:

If you could connect it to the PC via USB, and download new firmware for the player from Creatives website, try that.
If neither alternative works, I'd buy a Creative Zen Vision:M 60 GB, preferably in black or white:

60GB is too much ? Wrong!

FUCK Creative, my headphones got broke a week after I bought it and not this piece of shit. Ironically, I bought it the same time that 3 of my frineds bought iPod and I was like "watch, this (iPod) shit is trash, it will shut down in 3 months)". Its been 2 years, their players are flawless and my always fucks something up once a month.

lmao. If you're tired of an mp3 player not functioning properly, do anything but buying an iPod ;D

Seriously though. Updating the firmware should work if rebooting doesn't work. You can always format and then update the firmware, although that's kinda drastic imo. But seriously - if you want to get rid of this one, get the Zen Vision:M Jome mentioned. I've had mine for a while now and it works excellent.

I already explained that everyone I know who has an iPod, hadnt had a single problem yet.

I tried it all:
a) Scan Disk
b) Format
c) Reload Firmware
d) Reboot

The problem is that when I do options a, b, c and d, the player freezes --> it doesnt even scan, format, reload and reboot properly! These were suppose to be s.o.s. options but dont even work. Piece of shit.
