first track off the CD damn they had to fuck with Picture Me Rollin, Kurupt drops a dope verse and Butch's singing actually fits the track but It doesn't compare to the origiinal one of the all time great Pac tracks, overall not too bad I kinda dig the remixed What's ya phone#
RIP 2Pac

"Picture Me Rollin" and "Whatz Ya Phone #" are good. You should've just downloaded those 2 and saved your money.
-
i hear that even though it was better than the 1st one which was a total travesty, volume 2 still sucked.
-
Volume 2 was actually pretty dope in my opinion, but with that being said it's already out of my rotation.
-
I got it for free so I got no complaints. 8)

be honest...
were u expecting better lol??
i liked it....but i also liked the first....that hail mary remix was weird lol....i liked the rock beat but if they changed his vocals to fit the track it wooad been soooo much better....at least the coulda got the outlawz tore-record the vocals...the breakdown before the outlawz come on is perfect for a screamin rapper but they sounded shit on it

I dig the rock beat on Hail Mary too, cool to give a different spin on these classics but at the same time I got mixed feelings cause Picture Me Rollin is one of my favorite Pac tracks, What's Your Phone# I never really cared for and the numixx is actually better

I think anytime you are doing a remix album you gotta remember it's the producer's interpretation of how they want a artist to sound on their beat. It was almost always before that the original producer would do remixed versions of a hot song. Now it is all about getting a big time producer to do it. So I just take these albums has someone else's piece of work over Pac vocals. Some work, most don't. But at least with this one they kept alot of the elements of the original and added a little twist to it.

yeah I actually prefer these remixes for that reason, rather than just taking random Pac vocals and adding beats to them and calling it an album

I like the remixed 2pac albums. I even bump the Eminem one. The OG's probably will never be released and it's not like they are hard to find. The quality may not be that great but most do have them, so why not add something new to the track. Now the editing of lyrics and adding new rappers to songs I don't like.

yeah I never really felt the Eminem one, I liked Still I Rise and R U Still Down probably the most from the posthumous Pac albums, Hellrazor was my joint damn Pac killed it :o

Yeah those 2 were dope. Still I Rise is probably the best out of all of them. Until The End Of Time and Better Dayz were good also. But like I said, those tracks mostly were produced by the original producer, in most cases it was Johnny J. Especially the 2nd disc of Better Dayz. He really crafted some dope beats on that disc.
-
the production on All Eyez On Me by Johnny J was unbelievable, they made such a dope team

He did my favorite 2pac track, Picture Me Rollin.

I was pretty aprehensive after the way volume 1 turned out, but volume 2 is actually pretty respectable. I give them credit for the minimalist approach they used on a lot of the tracks. Many of the beats seem just slightly tweaked, which is fine. If it ain't broke, don't fix it. I dig the Fatal Hussein appearances. "Got My Mind Made Up" is one of my favorite tracks on the cd, although it doesn't compare to the O.G. either. All in all, it's far from a perfect album, but it's a pretty solid release. Especially compared to "Pac's Life" or "Loyal to the Game."
