Yes sir...I'm sure that most of you have heard of Kanye's "Glow In The Dark" tour by now. Not only is he bringing a 16-piece orchestra with him, but Common is the supporting act for this tour. That's just crazy! 8) Definitely got my money's worth...
November 18th in Brussels. Can't wait :) Anyone else hitting up one of Ye's concerts?
-
anyone got a schedule of the tour?
-
i think i'll hit up one of the shows, depending upon where in the UK he'll be at.

whoa thats crazy :o
what did it cost?
i'll attend the brussels concert as well :)

Tickets are 37 euros. My first reaction was "WTF! Way too expensive!" and then I saw "support act: Common". That makes it fairly cheap...
Can't wait. This'll be one hell of a good concert, I just know it, lol. I went to see Kanye last year in Brussels and THAT was already more than good. Just imagine what this one will be like...

damn, this actually does sound like a really good show.. im a fan of any artists using live orchestered music :) ill have to keep my eyes open to any dates around london for the show then.. +1 for the info crafty :)

never been to vorst nationaal though

Nice. Common and Kanye are dope together on stage. How much does 37 Euros translate into American Dollars? My brother told me the exchange rate as he was out in Various European countries recently, but I forgot.

LOL... the exchange I guess is like $1.37 to one Euro, which would be $50, which seems about right for a concert. I've paid between $40-$50 for a concert, depending on who and were I sit. I paid $37 once for Snoop and ended up way up yander, then I paid $50 for Nas and got so close he could hear my yells and responded to them. So who knows. I know some folks be buy $100s to get on the floor of some people. so 37 Euro or $50 seems reasonalbe to me. I wonder if they are having some more American concerts, especially here in the mid west.

Vorst is allright...pretty big to Belgian standards. I've been there a few times (Ja Rule, Snoop & Game, Diana Ross, plus I'm going to the Crowded House concert there next month). Although as far as the overall sound is concerned, it's not as good as Ancienne Belgique. That has to be Belgium's best concert venue. Very good sound.
-
Anyone know if Common is going all round Europe or just mainland? It would suck if he didn't come to England
-
I don't know for sure, but I think it's safe to say that Common will hit up the UK as well. I mean, if he performs in little ass Belgium, then it would be weird if he didn't accompany Kanye on the UK part of the tour.

Anyone been to a Kanye show before? How long are his sets?

cool (lol at ja rule though:p), but i read in the newspaper it's in the 'club section' of vorst national

Hmmm. A friend of mine asked me to go see Kanye with him. I told him no. But why?

^^^^You're missing out on something if you're not going imo. You'll get your money's worth, that's for sure.

I went to a show of his last year and it lasted about an hour a half. But now, with this orchestra that he's bringing along, it wouldn't surprise me if he makes it a 2-hour show.
@ Theodore: yeah, it's in the club section of Vorst. It still has the capacity of about 5000 people though if I'm not mistaken. And I think that IF the concert would get sold out, they would let hem perform in Vorst itself, not the club section (no idea what the 'club section' is btw. It's something new they started in Vorst. My guess is that it's the normal concert venue but with less space...so it's in the same room).
-
aight. the official site says it will last 2.5 hours with break, but i guess this will also inlcude common's show and maybe even a-trak's set..

I don't really think Kanye is all that great. Definately not worth €37 for me. I would pay €25 for Common though. But with this being a Kanye concert, with Common only as a support act, I'm not that sure about it.

Hour and a half? I couldn't justify paying over 30 bucks for that. I need somewhere from 2 and a half to 3 hours for anything over 75 bucks. 2 hours is the absolute minimum I would stand for. Unless it was one of those big acts you just want to see once in your life. Like let's say I never heard Aretha Franklin sing live in my life and she was in town and I had cash on hand. I'd pay more than I would normally and wouldn't expect much of a show because of her age. But if an artist wanted to have me come back for a second show they better put out 2 and a half hours of solid entertainment.
