yo man, if you have icq, put your number down, and I can help you find what you are lookin for. I think I know what it is, but if it isn't, I don't want to write a 20 minute post over something you already know.

actually, it is pretty easy now that I think about it. Go to the top of winamp, and right click on it. Go up to options. Then once that menu comes up, go to preferences. then on the left under where it says plug in's, click on output. 4 options should show up on the right. That is where you find the disk writer. It should be ther 3rd one listed. Hope this is what you meant.

Man, the only thing I have ever used it for was to decompress and mp3 file. You can take any mp3 you have, and turn it back into a wav. The only reason I can think you would use this for is to burn mp3's into audio cd's. BUt if you have adaptec it will do that shit for you automatically. If there are any other uses for the writer, I don't know. But before adaptec, that is what I had to use to decompress mp3s. Sorry if this doesn't help you.

Man, every time you do that, you are making the files huge. DON'T TRY AND PLAY ANYMORE or you will fill up your hard drive. wav's are really big. Just go back into the preferences like I told you last time, and click the top option. 2 above the writer. Then you will play the song. The writer was just making your files into wavs. mp3's are about 3 meg, while the wav is 60 meg.

What I meant by don't try and play was don't keep on pressing play on your winamp, or you were gonna fill up your hard drive. It was writing, not playing.
