Well if you can use Dogg Pound songs in the thread I would say Got My Mind Made Up also on my list. That verse was out of this world.

Talking about that song, I gotta say Daz's verse is also fuckin INSANE man :o

Daz' verse was as good as anybody's on Got My Mind Made Up but what was up with the vocals, they needed to be etiher turned up or Daz was munchin on some m&m's while recording it

Yeah I always refer to that song to show that west coast mcs can be just as lyrical as east coast.

Daz' verse was as good as anybody's on Got My Mind Made Up but what was up with the vocals, they needed to be etiher turned up or Daz was munchin on some m&m's while recording it
I think he was doing more off a smoother flow on that, but yeah his vocals did seem to sound lower than everyone else. Maybe he meant to record it that way.
-
I think he meant to record it that way and it cames off real dope, although I kinda have a hard time understanding some of his lines without the lyrics in front of me

Daz back in the day would rap slow, fast, rasta, whisper, whatever. Now he has that same flow on tracks but back then he would rock anything.

I still think he was very hit or miss on Dogg Chit but those 2 track he sure did rip them, I guess I'm overly critical of Kurupt because I think the general consensus was that he was consistently dope on Dogg Chit
-
Yeah I actually thought he was more consistent on SDDS but Dogg Chit had some bangers on there.

props on that one, yeah not a Kurupt solo but it was on the b-side of the Dre Day single produced by Glove, I remember Dre giving credit to him I think during the track but I'm not sure, and it is a freestyle and Kurupt does kill it

yeah he kills it, just listened to Against Tha Grain yesterday and while lyrically he doesn't spit the fire he did back then his delivery on that album was something viscious kinda reminded me of the way he spit on this and The Chronic
-
puffin on blunts and drinkin tanqueray
kurupts verse is probably the best rap verse of all time, it goes on for like 3 minutes..plus its a free style!@!!!!

really if you think about it it was his first great solo track, Kuruption didn't come out till a year later and I'm trying to remember if he even had any solo tracks before this one, I don't know if Started was recorded around the same time but it was released years later, man imagine if Deathrow had released a Kurupt solo with material he recorded in '96-'97 :o
-
Another slept on Kurupt solo is Under Pressure on the Players Club soundtrack. Nice Battlecat beat on that one.

Especially his 2nd verse on it.
I gotta whole army of forts, I gotta whole brigade of ryhmes
In a mental state, time to time, I'm engaged in the crimes
Whether in a fix, my experience leaves me to notice
in the mix, no negligence, have you the audacity
to come blastin me, actually I cause catastrophys
down at blast for me, I'm catastrophic, the shit you must do
Shaky-ass nigga, now how the fuck can we trust you
We're the cashy, ashes to ash to ashy, dust to dust
I bust when I'm here, when heat flashes
My heat sends heat strokes, my scraps put the senorita
Make niggaz choke like inhalin, end up the smoke
So take one toke off the automatic I got stashed in my coat
Under pressure, I come to test ya, extra
Extraordinary, rough texture, rough rhymin texture
Expect a, next a, hittin balls to hard balls subject ya
The romantic buildin is the beginnin of ya destiny
Destined to fall, praise to me and D-A-Z
We mash, leave no flaws, we break jaws
Smoke all the chronic wit Daz and my nigga Doggy Dogg
