Did they even release the second one anywhere else than Japan?

I'm a couple of hours into the Japanese version of the first one and its really good so far. I've got the second one (which is meant to be better than the 1st) waiting once I finish this one, but I don't think playing the first two is going to be required for part 3. 1 and 2 both take place in 90s/modern day Japan, whereas this third installment takes place in the Edo period and appears to be part of the series only in name.
