i hear bare heads saying the east copied the west coasts swagger, culture, attitude and gangsterism in hip hop..

can any1 enlighten me more?

Well all coasts borrow, but yeah perfect example, Ja Rule's Holla Holla video with all the lowriders. Jim Jones with the khakis and the rags, etc. Using certain producers for a more "g'd up" sound (50, Jada, etc). But to be honest the west does the same thing and everyone is biting the south right now.

When a certain style of anything wether its all of what you said the east coast copied from the west or music in general, people  everywhere are going to bite it. Its happened in every other kind of culture.
