Dr. Dre produced entire albums. Like with NWA, the Chronic, and Doggystyle. I know Yella, Daz, and Warren G helped out on those albums, but you knew dre definitely had a hand on all the tracks on 'em. Nowadayz, except for 2001, he only does like 3 or 4 tracks per album (for Snoop, Em, X, etc.). It'd be nice to see another album full of new Dre beats before Detox comes out (God knows in how many years). It probably won't happen though...with all the stuff he's doing these days.

i know that shit would be tight.... like a new snoop dogg cd all done by dre.. u kno take tha time.. dont worry about producing other people and just proably make another classic.. that would be tight
-
where have the days gone when any producer used to produce a whole album. Not it's about 6/7 producers for one album and about 2/3 to each song.
-
that shits fucked up....i think dre needs to produce a full xzibit album by himself and that shit would be tight as hell, though I like daz...etc producing dre is tha bomb.
-
he don't need to produce a full eminem or d12 cd. he really needs to fully produce a snoop cd because snoop is going downhill, and the dr dre cds are always banging, peace.
-
i think dre is the one starting to fall off

There goes your credibility. Snoop is going downhill? Thats why the Last Meal went double platinum plus and had one of the biggest singles of the year (Lay Low). Not to mention that the Eastsidaz album is getting praise everywhere. Going downhill, eh? Id like to see your description of downhill.
-
yes and don't get it twisted snoop left his best stuff of the last meal and it still gets nominated 4 album of the year at all the award shows
-
it doesnt exactly have to be a good album to go platinum............
-
i would think it would be really great if Dre did Snoops next album ...
But heres a question for everyone to think about
Most of the people that buy cds are teenagers ... Are teenagers (in gereral) into Snoop ? Well the answer is no ... People wanna see new acts ... Yeah it would great for us hip hop fans .. but would it sell ?
Do u think that matters to Dre ?
-
Cause Dre is in demand. Everyone wants him to produce for them. Maybe when Dre's hype slows down he will produce more songs on a Snoop album. But like someone said in another post I saw a while back, if Snoop let Dre produce an enitre album then wouldn't some of Snoop's Dogghouse producers get a little pissed.
-
Not really because they could co-produce
Although i've heard Dre can be a little bossy ;D
-
Dr. Dre is wack now, I wouldnt want him anywhere near Snoop's next album. Snoop is best when he is flowing over up tempo G funk. Dre doesnt do those type of tracks anymore. Fred Wreck, Battlecat, Meech Wells, etc are all better producers now then Dre is.
Do we even need to mention how Xzibit's Restless album was for the most part crap thanks to Dre?

Fred Wreck's production sounds very similar to Dre's.

This is how I see it...
For those who say Snoop is falling or Dre is falling are still living in the past... you still want that Deathrow sound, that Snoop lyricism, that Dre production. You aren't willing to see a good change in the way their music is going. Subjects are changing, maturity is blossoming and music as an art is become more present in their direction. They're doing it their way, not your way, the way you wanna see it. They are presenting themselves like they couldn't in the past. They are showing more of themselves now than they ever did... and thats the truth.
