Tristar has been a top prospect out of Los Angeles and now he is ready to break out and show the rest of the world what those of us that are up on the L.A. rap scene have known for good while.
Mentored by brother duo of Kurupt & Roscoe, Tristar has been crafting his skill as a part of their crew Y.A. (Young Assassins), however, Tristar although still a major part of that crew is now a solo artist signed to the upstart label Jaded Entertainment.
Tristar’s album has been given a late January/early February 2008 release date with the first single already revealed as “Dresscode” which can be seen and heard on www.tristar.cc
I had the opportunity to first interview Tristar back in 2004 along with Kurupt and the rest of the Y.A. camp and then once again in 2006 before he put out his mixtape with DJ Strong. Now I’ve caught up again with the young promising star to get the first official word about the next step in career.

Fuck ya cant wait for this album, Tri is a beast, hood lookin Styles. But DAMN, whats goin on with Eastwood, didnt he just say 2 weeks ago his album is coming october 4th? And in a matter of weeks it changed and is getting delayed 6+ months, thats bullshit. Imma call this nigga up and see whats really up, cause thats some stupid hoe ass shit right there, every1 been waiting, East been saying its dropping 100% 4 sure, for the last like year, year n half!!!

props..

Styles: You still working with Kurupt?
Tristar: Always.. that’s my nigga. But I’ve got to step up and be a man. I came in to this world by myself. It’s been a long time coming but I’ve got some cool songs. I did some female songs and it was really hard for me to do that. Especially as much as I call a bitch a “bitch”.
lol i wonder why he went from talking bout kurupt to .....the end of that answer.
-
it's nothing... he answered the question and then went to talking about his album... people naturally babble when they talk.

It may not be under his control, you've got to realize that too.

He was the first 1 signed and repping that shit hard, hes a fuckin boss, he got way more freedom there then he would have had anywhere else, yes it somewhat isnt under his control i know that, but im sure if he really wanted to realease it, he would!!!

I know in the interview Eastwood said he was delaying it a little bit to add some tracks he did with Meech Wells so maybe that has something to do with it.

No doubt... Just wish that the Tri album was coming sooner, considering we still have many months to go before they release it. I still think they could have fit Eastwood's album in before it, now we won't be hearing that one for a while I guess.
