Title: West Coast Synth sample [Req]
Post by: eggz on September 27, 2007, 07:43:50 AM
I've been looking for ages and haven't found any, can any of you guys possibly hook me up? You know, that G-funk whine sound. I can't really explain it but I'm sure you know what I mean!

Thanks in advance for any help given.

it's just a basic sine wav, most synths can do it

exactly. and i dont think anyone has the presets for how you tweak a wave to make it "westcoast". if you have a synth, just take a basic sine wave and start running it thru diff oscillators and tweaking till you like what you hear, then make a riff from a keyboard or whatever you do to compose melody

Thanks for the feedback guys.

Basically I was looking for a program that had those synths as presets and I could compose through my actual computer keyboard. I'm not even sure if a program like that exists anyway...I appreciate the comments.

There's a basic one called "mda JX10" which has a preset like the one you are talking about actually. You should look into that... other wise I agree with what the other's guys said, sometimes it's easier to just make your own from scratch.
