Lakers definitely don't need JO if it means trading Odom+Bynum. But it'd be nice to see him in a P&G uni...PeACe

JO for Bynum and Odom is better than Marion for Cook and Odom. Making a trade is better than making no trade because of the Kobe-situation. Those are my thoughts of it. A trade like this won't make the Lakers significantly better, though. Maybe even worse, depending on injuries.

Both trades suck ass, and making a trade for the sake of making it is retarded...Kobe wants a contending mentality, not a trigger-happy FO.

I think he came to a point where he wants a trade. Didn't he tell Marion and JO that he's cool with them joining the Lakers? There you have it. I'm sure Kobe ain't dumb enough to believe he can get them without trading Odom. So...
Oct.1 is coming.. and it is coming soon.

No the fuck its not. In the JO trade we're giving up our 2nd best player and the guy our future is riding on for an injury prone PF with an enormous contract. In the Marion trade we're trading our 2nd best player and a bum to make the numbers work for one of the best do it all players in the league.
And yes, Kobe knows getting either of them would mean trading Odom so he's pretty much saying "trade that nigga" without saying it.

Jermaine's impact on a team>>>>>>>>Odom's and Bynum's impact on a team
Kobe + Jermaine = best duo since Shaq and Kobe

Yeah you got a point there.

Kobe likes Odom, and in the exit meeting said he commended how he battled for us like a warrior through injuries...You are far from understanding the problem if you think Kobe just wants a trade to happen.

Yeah you got a point there.
Yea...His point is that JO's impact doesn't get Indiana into the playoffs in the east. What makes you think he can be a dominant big in the WEST? As far as I'm concerned, he's currently on Odom's level, and his progress will probably be behind Odom's, considering he's a slow learner and it takes 2+ years to learn the triangle...PeACe

Yes but JO doesn't have Kobe on the Pacers. If he came to the Lakers for Odom + Bynum he'd be on the same team with THE best player in the game. They would automatically take pressure off each other. Kobe could just filter his man to the post and let JO get the block. And JO wouldn't have to worry about being having to get every rebound, block every shot, and score damn near every point.

Maybe, but if Bynum progresses in his 3rd year as much as he did in his 2nd, it would be the dumbest trade ever.
