Post by: I.B. BLVD on September 27, 2007, 10:03:28 AM
Who else thinks that all of the newer games are getting more boring and lame, I remember when I hade the Nintendo 64 I was on it ALL DAY, I even burned out one of my TVs, All of the NES, PS1, Super NES, N64, and Sega games were the shit!

The old games totally shit on the new ones. That's why I'm a huge emulator/rom fan. These new games can have the best possible graphics in the world & contain thousands of different abilities/moves/possibilities/endings or whatever but they lack that special "something".

There is that.

Plus, as you get older you have more disposable income, and therefore you buy more games, without actually playing any of them as much as you used to. I remember as a kid, if I wanted a new game I would either have to finish some of the games I already had to trade in, or wait until a Birthday/Xmas to get it as a present. That resulted in me spending a lot more time on each game, knowing it would be some time before I could get another one.

Having said that, since Sega pulled out of the console market I've been a lot less interested in gaming generally. I still buy certain games, but there is quite a bit of staleness in todays video game market and I therefore find myself passing on a lot of the so-called 'big' games.
