My lil bro won a ps3 a while ago (neither one of us actually play vidoegames tho except me occasionally playing old school games) but I was talking to a friend and he was telling me how he downloaded a SNES emulator and just plugged in his 360 controller into the usb connection and played the games on the emulator through his 360 controller. So I should be able to do the same thing with a ps3 controller right ?

I don't know how the PS3 controller looks like but I highly doubt he just plugs it in like that without anything. I've got a PS2 controller & I play on emulators alot & to plug the controller into the USB connection I've got a special converter which I connect with both the controller & USB connection.

doe sthe ps3 controller use a usb connector like the 360 controllers do? With wired 360 controllers you just plug it into your usb port, download the drivers and itll work like any pc controller. I doubt the ps3 controller will work though.

Arenīt the ps3 pads all wireless? I guess there are special wireless/usb converters that might do the trick. No clue though. I use ps2 pad as pc gamepad. Itīs nice.

You can use a PS3 pad on the PC if you plug it in via a USB cable, which I guess you already own to charge it up. You just need to find a download for the drivers and then it will work fine.
