Title: This years best album
Post by: EssCee on October 02, 2007, 07:12:41 AM
What albums this year would you give at least 5 or more (scale from 1-10) to say these albums are the best if not definately worth a listen?

Ive heard

Mack 10 - Hustlaz handbook
J wells and jurupt - Digital smoke
LAyzie Bone - How a Thug Was Born

and a few reggae albums (Collie budd, stephen marley) that i thought were great albums - what do you guys reckon, as im in need to hear some good music - pls not mixtapes (just yet) but not sure whats good stuf nowadays especially with all the marketing hype about every rapper claiming theyre album is the best....

thanks

p.s. i know some albums i listed werent released this year but they were worth mentioning

So the west coast actually released some albums this year??? I love the west coast (music) but they seem so far behind. Seriously, they need to step it up.

Fair point hes not from the west but Stephen Marley isnt rap.....the album was good, as a matter of fact i thought Method Man's 4:21 was a decent album too, im sure you get the idea that im not targetting just westcoast as they not released many albums either

if you havent heard the blu & exile-below the heavens album, i deffinately recommend that, best west coast album of the year IMO........there's also evidence-the weatherman, dj muggs vs. sick jacken-the legend of the mask & the assasin, and even tho' they aint west coast, common's-finding forever, talib kweli's-ear drum, & brother ali's-undisputed.................all great albums, none of which are really gangsta (if thats what your looking for)

Out west I have liked so far this year:

Bishop Lamont- N*gger Noize
Evidence- The Weatherman LP
WC- Guilty By Affliation
The new J-Ro
Taje- Hotbox 2
DJ Muggs vs Sick Jacken
Dogg Chit
Digital Smoke

There are a couple more but those are the ones I can think of so far.
