Title: Give Kokane his respect
Post by: piankeyfan on October 03, 2007, 03:48:22 PM
If you ever heard "Bottom girl" by Tha Eastsidaz you know what I'm speaking on. He's goin line for line with Nate on that one. By the way Goldie Loc got the coldest line on that......."And you can ask everybody, I aint never touched no skinny chick !"

I will Give Kokane MAJOR Respect.

The Roles he played on "the last meal" and "Duces and treys" were awesome.

I actually consider him to be a member of "tha Eastsidaz".

And speaking of the Eastsidaz with Kokane, I LOVE "RugBurns" w/sugafree.

Kokane's solo shit is dope too.

Some of my favorites are "Nasty" "NITE Locs" and "Knick Knack Pattywack"

There are those who say he's wack; far from it in my opinion. His is like a reiterated style of what George Clinton is about.

Pickup 'Funk Upon a Rhyme' if you haven't heard it already.

Little to no guest appearances, funky, coked up and phased out sounding productions, even has a pretty creative album cover!

Can't understand the people on here saying he's wack as a rapper.
Imo he's one of the best...he got so many different styles and always comes original & stays creative.

I don't complain about the productions neither...always seems to fit him well.

Can't wait for the collabo cd's with Sugafree, George Clinton & Raine N Lane.  8)

question is will that sound work TODAY? he has to re-invent himself with a new style cause it was obvious it was winning when westcoast was hot in 2001-1002.

Ya'll remember when Kokane was born again and went all Jesus on us. HA HA HA. nigga became christian in Jail but backslid faster than mase's dimple.

His hooks are dope but i've never really liked his style, just not for me. I definitely give him individuality points though
