Post by: UKnowWhatItIs: welcome to my traps....game over on October 12, 2007, 01:20:44 PM
I'm trying to make a list of out of print west coast albums, so far I've got:
Bad Azz - Executive Decision
C-Style - C-Style Presents 19th Street LBC Compilation (I think)
Daz Dillinger - R.A.W. (I think)
Defari - Focused Daily
Doggys Angels - Snoop Dogg Presents Doggys Angels: Pleezbaleevit!
King T - King T IV Life
King T - Tha Triflin' Album
Mausberg - Non Fiction
Mitchy Slick - Trigeration Station (I think)
Ras Kass - Rasassination
Ras Kass - Soul On Ice
Tray Deee - The General's List
Right Hand Records Presents...West Next - The Compilation (I think)

if youre talking in a literal sense of west coast albums that are out of print, good luck, theres so many.

but if youre talking about hard to find out of print albums, then thats a different story. i dont know about some of those albums, a lot of those are still pretty easy to get. executive decision, raw, focused daily, doggys angels, etc. triggeration station.. west next??

a more legitimate list would be somehting like...
kokane - funk upon a rhyme
above the law - uncle sams curse
ras kass - soul on ice
kausion - south central los skanless
penthouse players clique - paid the cost
snoop - doggystyle first print
comtpons most wanted - its a compton thang
etc...

Out of print as in out of print, I'm not talking about used copies. I really don't know any other way to explain what I mean. Anyways there's a japanese import of Kokane's Funk Upon A Rhyme so I wouldn't call that "out of print". Same goes for Uncle Sam's Curse.

to name a few, there are probably so many more that i forgot about. correct me if i'm wrong about the ones i listed though

i mean if you think about it. probably 75% of all west coast albums are out of print. so this question is kinda pointless.

'No One Can Do It Better' wasn't ever re-released?

nope, would be nice though since most of NWA's albums were re-released with bonus shit, as well as ice cube's 1st four albums and a couple Eazy albums. but I'm not sure who actually has the rights to No One Can Do It Better since it had a different distributor than other albums put out by Ruthless around that time period. I think it was Atlantic.

The first print of the Chronic mines is all scratched up I went to buy it and they had it repackaged and remastered and instead of Dre listed as producer they put Suge Knight :-\

Dafunk$huns - The Album is the rarest album I own... I've litterally only seen it for sale like two times on any sites (ebay, Amazon etc).

Thing about albums like Uncle Sam's Curse & Funk Upon A Rhyme is, that they're not really that rare... but whoever's sittin' on them don't pour them all on to the market at once... Think about it, have you ever NOT found any of them on ebay?

Same thing with G Funk Classics Vol 1... 6-7 years ago, it was rare as fuck! I only knew of a couple of people who owned it... and then all of a sudden, the "market" is flooded with it, and it goes for $8.

The first print of the Chronic

Kurupt - Tha Streetz Iz A Mutha

Damn I got all of these (well with Jayo I got "Whatcha Gonna Do?" and "Crip Hop")

I'm almost sure Mitchy's album isn't out of print. But they did re-print it with slightly better covers after they got better distribution, but the songs are all the same.

^From what I know that's the only Jayo CD that isn't out of print. Also I don't think Kurupt's TSIAM is out of print since I can order it from a polish music store. Anyways props given to anyone who dropped some knowledge in this thread, thx y'all.

I see Kurupt "Streetz Iz A Mutha" and Daz "R.A.W." all the time in stores... maybe they are just old copies that no one ever picked up. I know I copped a copy of Kurupt's album last year, but wasn't happy to realize that they don't include "Calling Out Names" on it anymore.

Na I live all the way on the East Coast up in Rhode Island. My bad for the confusion... I see them both though all the time, I'm surprised that they aren't available in Cali.

You can cop them both on Amazon.com though, so if all else fails there you go...
