yeah, if you download the album and are feeling it, then go out and buy the damn thing...i own every Justus League album and will continue to support them as a collective, but too many people are sleeping, or claim to support but dont buy shit...
-
I heard it, and i really dont like it.
They left 9th, and they got beats from producers that sound almost like 9th.
maybe it just might need some time to grow on me, usually albums like theses do, hopefully.
-

yeah they parted ways with 9th, but this is def. not their last album...Big Pooh has a couple of projects coming up, his 2nd solo album, Dirty Pretty Things, and is also working on a album with Nottz, and Phonte has another Foreign Exchange album coming soon with Nicolay, and after all that they plan to do another LB album...

Yup.. I use all my money on music and partying, problem is that I don't have a job at the moment, so I don't have enough money to support everything.. I'm looking for a job though :)

This album is dope as hell, Little Brother once again prove y they r probably the best group around atm.....this album has a different feel to their previous albums but that wot they were aiming for and im so happy theyve managed to pull it off! Def coppin on the 23th if i can find it over here in England...
O FYI PHONTE was actually the one who leaked the album, he did it on the okayplayer forums i heard....
Anyway go out and support real hiphop!! October 23rd!!
-
Yeah this album is definitely hot shit. Way different from TMS, but in a good, fresh, way.
-

Hehe, I hope not..

Because: (elaborate)
I downloaded the album, and I have yet to hear it. Unless they drop Illmatic-quality, my wallet's refusing to shrink any further.
-
I'm not really feeling this, a couple of tracks are alright, but generally the album feels a bit all over the place.
Also, I don't understand how people find Lil Wayne dope, he has spoiled two half decent tracks on this and the Kanye album recently. His voice is just so annoying to listen to.
-
^ He fell off is all. He was deecnt around Carter I-II era.
-
*BUMP* PHONTE LEAKED THIS HIMSELF, EVERYONE SHOULD DOWNLOAD IT. FUCK ATLANTIC RECORDS.
-
Word, Phonte leaked it himself. It was actually funny as hell - when I opened the folder, there was another folder, then another, then another before finally finding the music. He was fuckin w/ us a little bit, lol.
I haven't had a chance to really listen to it yet, but I prolly will this weekend.
And I agree completely with the others - If you like this shit, GET YOUR ASS OUT AND BUY IT. You should reward those people that put out good shit.
-
Album is dope, very dope. Short but sweet. Im feeling the production, imo its very diverse. Denaun laced a banger. Got a couple favorites but Ill let it sink in a couple more days.

Well I can't really see the point of leaking your own album if you wan't to earn some money from it...
Unless they had some issues with Atlantic Records??
-
Haha check out what the tags says on iTunes:

"Altruism focuses on a motivation to help others or a want to do good without reward"... I see.. I believe that LB are putting out music for the fans and for hip hop and are not that concerned about the money, but I would think that they still want to get a nice paycheck. On the other hand, they'll probably get a pretty good amount of money from their fans who want to own the album.
I actually never heard of that ism (well I can't remember I have) but I like it :)... I guess it's pretty much the same as charity, I just have'nt heard the word "altruism" bfore..
-
^^ Altruism is a pretty common word in political philosophy and sociology. It basically speaks on truth-dodging left wing suckers. "Oh look, it's a virtue to help another man without getting anything back for it! It's good to award the needy for their needs, instead of rewarding the real moving people for their achievements. That's just how the world will keep ticking - by ignoring achievements and rewarding need."
Come to think of it. Phonte may have thought he did good by giving away his album, but he's really a slave of his own mentality. He should've got paid instead.

Hmm I haven't heard the word in use in danish politics..
Hehe well I can see the beauty in Altruism, I'm a leftist myself ;)
-
^^ Nah, it's not like politicians actually throw the word around - it's a word theorists use. Seriously though, you're saying you see the beauty of it, but do you also see its destructive power? Placing need above value; considering oneself less important than another. That's downright hatred for yourself and mankind, and it's very irrational at that.
Tell me, how would you disarm the arguments of the critics on this page?

Well you can call it downright hatred for myself, but I'll call it love for everybody else..
I'm watching something on the TV right now.. I'll check that link out another time..
I think this topic can evolve to a neverending discussion :)
-
can someone hook it up and send me a link on PM?

To place your love for another above your value of self, simply means you're not capable of living. If you don't hold yourself as the highest standard for your own life, how are you going to persuit anything at all? That's depraved man. Submissive. Full of self hatred.
-
how's the track with lil wayne?
-
Its ok, but he ruins it.
-
I can't get enough of this album, LMAO at Phontes comment...
-
Its ok, but he ruins it.
hook it up.
-
i don't think get back is on par with listening or minstrel show. i loved how they had consistent unique production throughout. i miss albums being produced by one producer. although dream merchant 2 sounded pretty bad so maybe it's better this way.
-
I wanna hear this album ..can sum1 plug me in? thanx.
-
havn't heard this yet, from the sounds of it, it sounds dope, will check it soon
-
Yo LB dropped heat once again. There really isn't a skippable track on this album. I thought I was gonna want more 9th, but the producers did their thang. Mr. Porter, Illmind, and Hi Tek dropped mad bangers. This album is funky, the music is all uptempo, soulful shit, theres a little more energy in this album than their others, even though Minstrel Show is overall a better album. "When Everything Is New" and "Don't Go Breakin' My Heart" have the possibility to be radio singles, let's hope so, that way more people can show love for REAL hip hop. Can't wait to see them in LA on Nov. 12th. Does anyone now how the El Rey Theatre is? I've never been there
-
i like it but to me it is not as good without 9th wonder...they were just perfect with his beats
-
this albums really grown on me since I 1st gave it a listen. Phonte is ill, dude should drop a solo.
-
Nice on the first spin.
Can anyone hook up the track "Time Of Your Life"?
