Title: How true was that whole 2pac and Snoop feud?
Post by: BCG1 on October 20, 2007, 09:56:23 PM
In the past I've heard comments being made that pac and snoop were not so cool towards the end like just before pac was killed, but what I can't understand is that if this whole thing is to be true, why were they both at the mtv awards together just days before pac was killed?

Then u got Suge putting his two cents in:  http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jVUsgm7iQeo

So after watching Suge's input I was thinking, just because Pac didn't end up on the DoggFather album doesn't mean that they didn't record tracks like "street life" or "wanted dead or alive" for the album that just didn't happen to make the cut. (am i correct?)

So basically I just wanna hear other peoples views and opinions on this topic.

They had different views about the whole Death Row/Bad Boy beef.  That's all really.  Snoop had beef with the East Coast not giving West Coast artist respect but was cool with Bad Boy artists and other East Coast rappers 2Pac had beef with.  2Pac didn't like that.  Although it was nothing really to fight over, they just had different views over the direction Death Row was taking.

It was very true. Pac was pissed off that Snoop wouldn't side with him in the whole Bad Boy beef. Snoop felt like 'hey, thats your beef, I'm your boy but leave me out of it'.

Whats sad is 7 years later Snoop was in Pac's shoes while Xzibit was in Snoop's shoes. Unfortunately, Snoop didn't have the decency to keep it behind closed doors out of respect for their friendship like Pac had done with him.

I always thought this sounded very fimiliar to how the the 50 and Game beef started...........50 wanted Game to side with him and he pretty much told 50 the same thing that Snoop was tellin' Pac..........Snoop was cool wit Biggie.........Game was cool wit 50's enemies also..........

Sometimes I wonder how far Pac woulda took this wit Snoop.........would he have let the shit slide or would Snoop and Pac had a "real" fallen out over this if Pac wouldnt have been murdered........... :-\

Kinda but not really. Game and 50 always had a dislike for each other. That whole thing was bound to blow up.

Snoop was on Hot 97 in NYC this was around the time of the MTV awards when he an Pac were in town in September of 1996 probably a week before Pac got shot, he was being interviewed by Angie Martinez basically touched on several subjects including Tha Doggfather album which he said was just about finished but I remember specifically Angie asking him about Pac and Biggie and what he thought of the beef and he said something like "That's 2pac, I'm Snoop Dogg I got not problems with Biggie" so you could definitely tell that Snoop felt it was a personal beef between the 2 and I think Pac was pissed after that interview and allegedly recorded a few diss tracks to Snoop during that final week of his life but they were never released.

Not entirely true. He wanted Game to diss Nas, Jada, Fat Joe etc like he did wit Yukmouth, Joe Budden and em but the difference with the Snoop situation and shit is that Game fucked wit those cats before. One thing though, Game
already took on some of the cats that was dissin G-Unit while Young Buck, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo did nothing. So how could 50 say that
he is unloyal and shit when none of them niggas didn't take on anybody themselves. If you haven't noticed 50 uses Westcoast artist as beef machines. Since Spider signed with G-Unit dude been dissin Game, Yukmouth, Messy Marv, Eastwood etc while talkin shit bout other niggas on his site like Eazy-E and shit like dat sayin Eazy-E and the whole NWA were nothin more than a bunch of studio gangsters etc.

And if u look at it though. Game knew Nas, Jada and Fat Joe before and fucked wit em on some street shit not just business unlike wit 50, so was Game really that unloyal because he choose NOT to go against one of his favorite rapper (Nas), and 2 of the niggas that he fucked wit heavy back then (Jada, Fat Joe)?

And when you think about it Game risked and coulda lost his entire career because of that, but did it anyway and crawled back from all the bullshit and still made it even bigger than before and is now one of the big dogs on the westcoast.

Thats why i feel like dude should get more respect cuz in other cases a nigga would probably go against them for the sake of the money and not care about defendin the westcoast but he didn't and for that he'll always get my respect other than just being a good rapper.

They may have had a feud... but there's no such songs could have been recorded and NOT being "mysteriously" leaked during the whole Snoop/DR-beef...

Pac had a real fall out with Snoop; but there not such thang as diss toward Snoop, all that is Suge lie. If such a track exists, when Snoop began his beef with Suge, B sure that Suge would had drop the track on the streets.

The tension with Snoop began ealier while the making of "Makaveli" album;
Ya must know that Tupac & the Outlawz, Snoop & the DPG were all 'together' at Can-Am Studio which got 2 studios, 2 adjacent rooms; so each crew got their room and they worked on "Makaveli" & "Doggfather".
Here what 2 producers of "7 Day" (Tyrone Wrice aka Hurt 'Em Badd & Deon Evans aka Big D) said:
Big D:
It was me, Tyrone & 'Pac in the studio. He would lock the door & others got jealous; they got peeved, certain ppl started claiming it was favoritism going on. They started complaining to Suge that we only gave 'Pac our beats.
Now the thang is that both had presenting beats to all artists on DR; but nobody took their beats, in fact, the others called 'em 'Wack Room' until 'Pac gave them a shot.
Hurt'em Badd:
I used to gave my beats to Snoop but he neva used them & Tupac started working only with his crew, while Snoop did the same only with his. ther was tension.

Then they all in NY; 'Pac and about 30 dudes confronted Nas with his 50 homeboys, & there is Snoop with his guys; everybody was watching Tupac & Nas. While 'pac spitted his words to Nas, he stared Snnopp; it's actually Angie M who told Snoop to come with her.
When they were back to hotel, 'pac sent the Outlawz ask Snoop's room 4 weed; Snoop replied that he gave nothing if it was not 'pac come there & ask; Tupac called back Snoop & Snoop finally accepted. They returned in the same jet to LA, without telling each other one word.
And on airport, when their limos came, Snoop asked Tupac: 'Yo 'pac, u going to Vegas?'. Tupac reaction is a look.

^^All of this is actually from Big D, Hurt 'Em Badd, Outlawz & Snoop himself interviews.

^^^Nice info, seems like I might of heard about that a while ago, I'm just picturing Pac giving Snoop that final last look and little did Snoop know that would probably be the last time he would see him, thats probably why it really hurt snoop even worse after Pac was shot.

I dont get all that feud beetwen snoop and pac. i believe there was some tensions cuz of snoop wanted work with bad boy and shit. but i dont understend why everybody think that pac and outlawz have right to be mad at dpg camp cuz of that. when pac came to death row there was beef beetwin row and ruthless eazy and them.pac DID song with bone thugs and nobody from dpg was bitchin bout that. you can say that pac knew eazy before death row but snoop knew biggie beetwin whole bad boy beef. SHIT!!!!
