Well Nas never ended up on the final version.. Check out this video where Frank (of Frank N Dank) talks about the track..
http://www.youtube.com/v/banx05h2J4c
And check out the original track produced by J Dilla:
The Notorious B.I.G. - Modern Day Gangstas ft Busta Rhymes & Labba (Prod. by J Dilla) (http://www.zshare.net/audio/43190620a78076/)
It's dope as fuck!!
I never knew that Dilla worked with Biggie..
-
always good to hear some new shit from the world famous beat junkie
-
props man!

Fuckin dope shit man, track is dope as fuck, it's really cool to see them tell the whole story, and shame Nas didn't really end up on the version
Vid is kinda nostalgic tho, with Dilla in the wheel chair and the last few seconds of the vid where they had his image still and the colour changed and shit...R.I.P to a great producer

Props for checking it out..
I found this on a blog though:
From the story, it sounded like the song was never recorded because Busta didn’t want to get in the middle of the Biggie/2Pac beef. “Modern Day Gangstas” is from 2002 and it just uses the “Dangerous MCs” verse and the original Jay Dee beat. Labba is on it and he wasn’t in Flipmode back in 96. Another thing is that Busta’s style on “Modern Day Gangstas” (talking about coca and things of that nature) isn’t the style he used back then (‘The Coming’ came out that year, I believe).

So I guess that this track isn't the real OG...

link doesnt work/.

^^I wouldn't be surprised at all, especially about labba, cause he started rolling with Flipmode 2004-2005 if I'm not mistaken, and it really doesn't sound like 96 Busta, but it's a good joint nonetheless
