I remember when Pacs greatest hits came out, I was floored at the song called god rest the dead when he says rest in peace to biggie smalls. A friend of mine says there was another person who went by biggie smalls that pac was close too. Was this true, or was this just a song that was meant to spook biggie? I've wanted to know this for years!

I'll explain this yet again, I think this is the third time that I've done it, once on the Dre2001 board and once here, now another time. Don't get me wrong I like being able to set the record straight on this subject.
Biggie Smalls was a totally different rapper that Pac knew. This is the reason that Notorious B.I.G. changed his name. Then Biggie Smalls died before Notorious B.I.G. and Pac gave a shout out to him on the song, "God Rest The Dead". I read this article in an issue of Vibe Magazine that had Master P and Silkk Tha Shocker on the cover a while back.
I hope this answers your question.
