The Miami Heat announced Wednesday that they have acquired guard Ricky Davis and center Mark Blount in a five-player trade with Minnesota in which they sent forwards Antoine Walker and Wayne Simien, center Michael Doleac and a conditional first-round pick to the Timberwolves.

So much for having Ricky Davis in L.A.
-
its an ok trade...
i dont think it helps either team that much..... miami will benefit while wade is out.. but after that how u gonna use davis with wade
-
it sheds some "weight" that's for sure lol.
-
Minnesota loses out on this trade...It was really just a case of addition by subtraction, but I really think they could've gotten more for Ricky D.
-
good trade for miami
-
Miami wins this, easily... Pat Riley must be happy that fat fuck called Walker is gone. That nigga made way too much money in the NBA.

He's not, and hasn't been since the first time he left the Celtics. Which is why I don't understand this trade. I mean I understand why Miami did it, they got a swingman that can score, defend, and pass in Davis and a decent bigman with a nice jumpshot in Blount.
Minnesota was doing good in their rebuilding process. Got a lot of talented young pieces from Boston and they're going to be a top lottery team for the next few years. So for the love of God, I can't understand why they would take on Doleac and Walker's contracts.

Dude, what don't you understand about what I said, they wanted to rid themselves of those contracts (Blount, in particular). They also had enough swing players they were tryna develop, so Ricky D was doing nothing but stunting the development of the youngns... you don't actually think they care for Antoine Walker, do you? :grumpy:
