David Kenner wasn't a 'clean' lawyer in my opinion, what's up with him now ? He still working as a lawyer or is six feet under ?
I remember him standing in the crowd at the NYC source awards when snoop was on stage yelllin

@ 0.58 seconds of the video there's david kenner with a black shirt
The question is: why a "simply" lawyer was always with the death row entourage ballin like a motherfucker ?

As of a year ago, he was reppin' Maurice Clarett (Ohio State football player who got caught T.I. style).
It seems that Kenner is still rollin' with rappers and mobsters...

Good question, especially today, cuz of Tupac: Assassination, know I mean?
I believe this dude know somethang on pac's death. In an interrview of Syke, the dude who did the interview said 'Did u know that Tupac had fired D.Kenner?'
Cuz Tupac fired D.Kenner cuz white dude did not want to give Outlawz 'pacs masters & DATS.
Syke is like wow: 'Pac fired David Kenner? Really? Kenner is not the dude who u fired'.
David Kenner was the dude who represented the kingpin Harry O part in the label DR; he became the lawyer of DR as well & is believed to much more responsabilities

I remember reading about that guy, shady and cottupted as fuck. Who knows what he's doing these day, but I can assure you, he's getting paid one way or the other.
Durring the Death Row era, he was a very important figure for the label.

Just saw his name pop up recently. First time in a long time, but has another high profile case ahead of him.

Why wouldn't he be? The guy is connected to real mobsters, not just gang members-turned-entrepreneurs. I'm sure he's been around company more dangerous than Harry-O and Suge Knight, who are gangsta in their own right but certain not mafioso.
Besides, Kenner isn't a little baby. There were rumors of him having loaded Uzis stashed around his house, just in case.

He was a lawyer with some muscle. nothing more, nothing less.
He got his semi-celebrity status due to being Snoop Dogg's lawyer during Snoop's murder trial, but like everything else - It died down... As with most lawyers though, they're greedy, and use the law to their advantage..
There were rumours going around years ago that due to Kenner defending mobster Barry Minkow, and being good friends with a mob boss prior to being apart of Death Row, was that Death Row had opened it's doors to the mafia, one reason why FBI would have been on their cases in the early days. When 2Pac fired Kenner, 2Pac had essentially fired the mafia so to speak. Another ridiculous theory though
The reason he defended these people was for fame and fortune. He was obviously fame hungry in some way, otherwise he wouldn't have posed for the cameras so much, and kept to his office, and home, and defended your typical Hollywood names, rather than controversial mob figures. He, like everyone else on the label received the legal help of David Kenner 24/7 if needed. I don't know why people think he cheated 2Pac. He may have worked out some shytty deal, but that's like every label.
2Pac went to Death Row with mountains of legal problems, and fines, and payments, parole visits, people still filing suits, and cases. He's lucky he got what he got when he was on Death Row

Kenner was as shady as that smirk lawyer from 'The Wire'.
He appeared to become a consigliere for Suge, but was really trying to steer a lucrative but doomed Death Row.

i got mad luv 4 David Kenner

I think he's more referring to health reasons than criminal reasons. Kenner supposedly was pretty sick with Cancer a few years ago.

Kenner was a strong selling point for Death Row at the time. Not only were they a powerful music brand with Dr. Dre out there producing but they had a legal team that could keep these troubled artists out of jail. An important note to add with all these theories about Pac firing him and what came about as a result of that is that he still stayed on as Suge's lawyer and the legal counsel for Death Row.

That's right, he was very much involved during Suge's probation violation that sent him to prison in 1997, and even in some later court cases (I can't remember what year but I remember seeing it on the news with Kenner in the courtroom, then with mostly gray hair).
