Title: DJ Quik , Ice Cube , Ice T to be honored in AWards!!!!

The land of khakis, bandannas and low riders will be recognized Nov. 12 at the first ever Hip Hop Regional Awards (The Best in the West). The show begins at 6:30 p.m. and will be held at the Universal Hilton Hotel in Universal City Walk and will be available on pay-per-view and the internet via live streaming. DJ Quik, Ice Cube and Ice-T are among the mainstream and underground artists, DJs, radio personalities and others up for awards at the event. According to a statement from the show's producer, the Hip Hop Regional Awards is "about promoting diversity in the hip hop genre, educating the public on the work of rap and hip hop pioneers and to diminish the negativity associated with hip hop and rap."
